Best of the Best: Templar Gear

This is an attempt to compile the best Templar gear currently available for a T8 High-End Templar - not a list of useful items. It does NOT include the best Templar caster DPS gear, the best Templar Melee DPS gear, the best Templar Hybrid DPS gear... etc.

Best is defined as that which helps us do our primary job (Healing) better than any other item, keeping in mind some secondary utility (Mostly DPS). It won't always be one item - sometimes there are extremely close runner ups, or the acknowledgment that some items (off Contested) may be impossible to attain.

Currently Available *excludes* loot that can no longer be obtained (Old Avatar loot).

Armour*Notes: Regardless of the Armour you have, you should have 5 pieces of VP set armour to swap in before casting Aegolism, and swap out directly after. I recommend the Helm as a good "Fifth" piece, because it's equally poor for all 4 classes that can use it.

From my limited knowledge of Templar gear, I would propose \aITEM -659458117 914569170:Crimson Robe of Alendine\/a for chest piece. 10% spell haste is hard to beat.

Our current BP choices are abysmal - since neither Hate nor Alkabor bps still drop, we're left with

-5 hate (pretty abysmal) from Leviathan, which *might* be the best if you'd settled for Transcending Helm and the set leggings, because at least you get a 3 set bonus....

Nothing at all from the non-set bp

And as far as I've seen, not much tempting chain or leather.

The fear cloth robe is a pretty decent bet - a poor man's al'kabor.

Fear cloth robe is awesome, Mystical Aura Chainmail and Shade of Khalen's Vest from VP are both 5% reduction so aren't too terrible. Plus if VP loot is upgraded I would guess these items might become quite desirable.

For Chest piece I would say the Impaler Breastplate so far, at least I haven't seen a decent upgrade =(.

a friend of mine has this belt, but we cannot for the life of us see it proccing off group heals. It doesnt seem to register on ACT, and since it has no duration its not visible in any effects window either.
When casting a groupheal power always ends up at powerpool - heal powercost, seemingly not proccing the effect.

Are we doing something wrong? We didnt test if it works off hostile spells tho, but the description makes it sound like it should proc off any kind of spell.

Its working, cast group heals/reactives and watch someones power besides yours.

Power sometimes bounces and does not always register correctly, whereas watching someone elses seems to work fine.

I love my Girdle.

Very Noticable when Nexona purges your tanks power.
