At first I shyed away from the spell. But it definatly has its usefullness.

If you direct heals are down and your tank is in red this is much more usefull than a reactive. Which should always be on the tank anyway.

Just make sure a high damage AOE isnt inc. If everyone isn't in the green it is far less usefull. Also I suggest a macro that way you don't freak the group out when their HP's drop.

Squishy caster gets attacked at the other end of the zone, no one's with them, you're with the tank. Cast... mob stops chewing on their leg and comes after you... which is fine, because you can take the beating till the tank gets it off of you. In the meantime, squishy caster will be laying on the floor groaning "He slimed me!"

aye, i noticed this too. my ad3 was rarely used but i liked it a lot so got m1, and OMG what a difference. people werent going down to yellow while tank went up to orange - people were still green and MT was up to yellow!

Great call on the squishy in trouble or the Life Burn spell. I'm going to try it for tonight's raid. Thank you for the great tips.

I use it almost everytime its up (and get mad thats its not up when its down!)

I just wish the casting time was instant. I know I may sound ridiculous, but the cast time can be frustratingly long sometimes. A lot can happen in 1 second!

It was instant in EQ1, and basically the best spell a cleric had outside of complete heal. I always wondered why it was so undervauled in EQ2 - 1 sec explains some of it.

Well because it isn't instant I like to do a two punch in an "Oh SHIT" situation.

First you throw up Holy Salvation which is the prevent death spell, which also adds to mit. Which is instant.

Then you hit Divine arbitration.

Saved many a tank this way and others. Gives them just enough HP so that you can get the other spell on them.

Hmmm doesn't the target have to actually die and have this proc to gain the mitigation bonus?

Yes.

But if they do take enough damage to die, that combo pops them back to red(DI) then back to yellow(DA) rather well and gives a bit more mitigation to help stabilize until debuffs and wards are fully reapplied.

Just be careful when using Arbitration, can sometimes be "wasted" by when the defiler uses a soul ward and drops his health also.
