Man, I wish it were instant. Far too often I have cast the spell only to receive the target is not alive message. Meaning that the target died in the 0.1-0.2 seconds it took to cast the spell... plus 100-150ms ping or whatever.

The real reason they are different is because they work differently.

In EQ2, the spell takes the total pool of health the group has and splits that evenly among the group members. So if you had a group with 15k, 10k, 7k(x2), 6k(x2) and used the spell, everyone would have 8.5k health. Meaning that 4 people have wasted health while the other two members lose health.

In EQ1, the spell takes the total damage that the group has suffered and splits it evenly among the group members. Take the same group as before, use the spell and everyone remains at 100% health because there is no damage to spread around.

That right there should illustrate the difference in power of the two spells.

I only use it for when someone goes into Levithan to blow up some vials and is about to die.. or when someone is across zone and in the red i throw i up.. other then that I personally dont see much use.... the second and a half cast time i think it is a tad to long for it to be real useful in an Oh shit situation, especially if you are in the MT grp... only time i ever use it in the MT grp is if the MT is in the red or orange and throws of tower of sheild i pop it to get a quick HP boost... other then that its too slow casting to rely on it saving a tank... maybe im just to worried about hurting the tank more then it helps since im just starting to be put into the MT grp.. if someone has any tips for when to use it that would be teh awesome sauce.....

Where can you farm the master.
I like the spell, but adept 3 is too unreliable on raid.

Desert of Flames, I guess. It's a level 55 spell after all. But that means a level 80 cannot farm it. I think a L70 did pretty well soloing those instances though.

Off the top of my head, Sanctuary is 55, DA is 58.

Doesn't change anything though :P

You're right... I made that post right before I went to bed... and I clearly remember that I inspected my Sanctuary spell to look up the level. If I had actually looked at Divine Arbitration, I would have had to go through the macro key screen to look at the examine window... I'm certain that I did not.

I think my mind went that way because Sanctuary was the hardest master spell for me to get, and that's what this was about. Hard to get masters that is.
