Has the Danak (?) Essence Vial Necklace, and its 2% riposte boost, been tested out as working as well (same, better, worse)?

Guard has awesome protection, but with such sick stats on shields like that new buckler in SoH << \aITEM -710242805 786830112:Brace of Corporeal Darklight\/a >>, I've been talking with people about whether the added protection can be compensated for with the extra crit etc.? Anyone done a test?
I now have Vioren's Forcefield so will run some tests against the Guard with that when I have some time. Can't wait to get me Brace and really run the numbers.

Against most mobs it doesnt matter but Tangrin/Trak and other hard hitters I would never replace the Drelikus shield because avoidance is everything

The dodge food will not provide any benefit for shield ally. You will want to use the +% parry food/drink.

Dodge modifiers on things such as provisions or Nexona's staff work just fine for Shield Ally.

Imo Vioren's best buckler for templar atm. What we lose-around 1-1.5% to block.
we recive - +95 heal, 3 heal crit,and good stats/hp/power/resists.Yes, i like stats

Except, the +heal is useless(reactives are capped, and heals only do so much of your healing), heal crits are okay, but the block is vastly more important as it'll reduce the amount of healing needed by the same, if not more than what the +heal/heal crits give you. Especially on anything Avatar-level.

Agreed. I wear the shit MC +block% plate (x3), the riposte MC neck and the Drelik, even though I have nice healer items in those slots. It kills me to do it, but SA is our most important skill for hard fights atm.

Just to correct Slamdar, as Snark said - the dodge infusions/essence (food/drink) WILL work with Shield Ally.

K, im getting conflicting opinions.
I know a templar that is saying that he believes that with the food/drink/items that give a % to skill, that when you get that % to a skill, the + number to skill then actually does affect shield ally.
For example, +2% parry drink +7 parry forearm adorn, that the +7 parry forearm DOES affect shield ally since now you have the parry skill from the drink.
I know its a bit confusing the way im putting it lol, I just dont know any clearer way to put it.
Anybody know if this is true? Wouldnt put it past sony to leave a bug like this in.
