Re: What happened?
Have you tried dying to see if whatever it is gets reset? That way you can rebuff from nothing.

Re: What happened?
Myrune - No one else is experiencing any such changes.
You say yourself it was fine before you took off for a week.
The problem is fixable, because the alternative is believing that SOE somehow specifically nerfed your character (and no other), which is not a very plausible hypothesis.
Maybe you changed UI settings, maybe you're fighting cockatrices that tend to interrupt way more, maybe your spells are getting resisted in an odd streak, etc... but to narrow it down, you either have to give someone your account info and have them check it out (I do NOT advise this), or toss us a screenshot/eq2players link of your gear/aas/stats and see if we can figure it out.

The incarnadine armor shouldn't be making that much of a difference in your ability to solo, but its possible. Judging from the stats on this same page I'd say that it might be time for upgrades. You don't receive very much mitigation bonus from the incarnadine armor you have and you have next to no avoidance, this is why the mobs are tearing through you so quickly. If you are finding that interrupts are killing your ability to solo, I'd strongly suggest dumping the intelligence line for the time being and get Steadfast from the Str line. This will keep you from being interrupted quite so much.
Hollar back if this doesn't help.

I agree with much of this...no one else is complaining and it is horribly bad and came on suddenly. I very well could have a corrupt file or some other very minor change that I can't recall or figure out. I've run a series of scan disk/defrag rounds and I'm going to do the full EQ2 file scan to see if it picks something up as corrupt or missing. I'm even giving serious consideration to reloading EQ2, however, I'm very close to building a new computer and don't know if I want to waste that much time prior to building a new machine.
And thank you for a considered answer and acknowledging that it might not be something I did on purpose...it was working just fine....then instantly changed.
And I don't think in my present state of being I should go after a cockatrice....I'm very sure that would be a quick and one-sided death. Prior to this happening I could pound a Cockatrice or three with nary a thought to being stunned/stifled.

OK, you win...I'm speaking of Nehamiah...is this Boax??
I made this change when it first happened and it maybe helped 10%...not a very noticeable improvement at all. I can try updating the armor to the 77 MC stuff, but it WAS working when I camped...it WAS broken when I logged in next. That's why I'm so ticked off...from one session to the next it was completely whacked.
Again, I would like to thank you for a considered answer without BS or flames. I will likely give the armor update a shot, but not for a while. I have to stay off him for a few weeks as I logged into him the other night and after about 8 deaths in a row I wanted to smash the computer to bits...this is not healthy and this is only a game. Logging into a toon that is this broken and causes me this much stress doesn't seem to make sense. I'll leave him alone for the time being and try again in a few weeks.
On another note I informed our raid leader of this decision and he's about willing to do anything to help. My Templar is still relatively effective on raids although I can't get into it at all knowing that solo or in a group I'm completely useless...which also makes me doubt the raid efficacy, therefore I don't want to jeopardize others.

Re: What happened?
Myrune...that was not a post from Boax (that you mention above). There are other players out there that are smart and clever like Bo though .
It is not hard to track that Neh was your alt..you don't have your profile anon. Anyway, just clarifying that Boax did not post that.
To specifically recap your SOLO problem (not going to talk raiding)
as for solutions...look at the Templar boards here. There are recommendations for AAs, Spells, and weapons, gear etc maybe not specific to your problem, but all have relavent points. My recommendation for soloing still stands hard and true...learn your auto-attack swing timing, spell cast timing, and work your debufs, dots, etc to your greatest advantage.
"Get Em Dead Fred and you will Live to tell about it"...even if as a healer it takes you longer than your conjy to kill it.
The order of your reactive/hots, debuffs, dots, nukes, and the TYPE of mob all play a HUGE part. Not every mob whacks you with a weapon and not every mob dots you with spells. There is no "one way fits all instruction manual" ...do this, do that as any class. I told you that i changed the order I cast a few spells and was able to get 400+ more DPS soloing...and that was against various mobs. It is not about mashing spell icons, its making them work for you to the best advantage. You can not just cast, cast, cast then say its not working because I keep getting interrupted. I am NOT knocking nor saying you are doing this, but the timing of casting and knowing your weapon delay, makes a HUGE difference in your DPS particularly when soloing. Not to mention the AA selection. There are some great recommendations from othe Templars here as to help with the interruptions you are getting (which we have discussed).
I have found more times than ever healers asking about how the delay in the weapon swings and casting between swings make a difference. This is not just about healers here...this is every class...auto-attack and spell casting/CAs have to co-exist together for max benefit.
As mentioned before ...there could be corrupt files etc on your system. The variables to the situation are too many. One must start at one point and work your way thru. You could run your parser that will pick up the spells and encounter data as well. The various tabs of information gathered there could help break the variables down as well.
Last point...did SOE change shit around while you were away...who knows. Did you notice it and it totally messed up your regualr play style...sure did. Why or what changed...still who knows. Stop trying to figure these questions out, stop getting mad that it is not the same as before you went AFK for a week, and don't just give up.
Use this to learn more indepth and make Neh/the other templars here stronger. You could be helping others that are afraid to post here that maybe have noticed the same thing you are noticing, but by just giving up you do nothing. To make it public that you noticed something "changed" and now you are not happy because you can't figure it out is good if you are willing to take the questions and work on the problem you present. There are lots of Templars/other players here that have replied to this post and are offering to help, just as I did, and they are not bashing you. You have brought your complain to the boards and publc so now if they ask questions and want to help you...then as a community board we are trying to help you figure it out. But if you just come to post and bitch (F-SOE) then no matter what anyone says here, you won't let it go, you won't take suggestion and will just say the hell with it, give up, park Neh, and blame SOE.
You know you have folks that will help you here on boards and in game) but you have to open your mind, start breaking down the variables, and want to find a solution. Rune...keep the faith, dont give up, and let friends help you if you are willing to accept changes/suggestions/growth and try.

Your cookie is on the way.
I'm not sure where to begin...Bo spent hours working with me and nothing shook loose. At least you acknowledge that it was working fine...that makes me feel tons better as I really got the impression that no one believed that part of the issue. I've spent 10's of plat trying to update my gear...I've already got all ADPIII and M1 spells on him. I've tried the timing thing, I just don't know what else to try. I'm very bummed as I have the most fun playing him, but as it stands I can't...not that I don't want to, but I can't. I was in a group with Dak, Bwaba, and a couple of others from the guild and everytime combat started I was basically stunned, whether I was being hit or not. I don't know what will happen if I try to raid with him and I simply don't know what else to try. It's not so much a FU SOE, as I simply can't do anything with him...I want to play him, but I can't do anything once combat starts. It now seems as if I don't even need to be taking any sort of damage...AOE, direct, anything and I'm stunned...sort of...that's not exactly correct as I can start a swing or spell, but it never finishes any more...ever.
I've tried scandisk/defrag....now I'm thinking of completely uninstalling EQ2 and starting over....I truly think something became corrupted or damaged. This is not the normal Templar thing, it's way beyond that. I'll probably have him on again tonight and we'll see how it goes. All my other toons are working fine right now, no complaints.
Thanks for taking so much of your time in-game and here in an attempt to help me work through this issue. I know it will eventually be solved, I just don't know what will do it...yet.

Re: What happened?
OK, took Nehamiah out on a raid last night. I was less than thrilled, but he was needed and I complied. He behaved perfectly...not one thing happened that I thought was odd or should not have happened. To top it off I didn't have an Illi or Trouby in the MT group with me and I had no power issues whatsoever. Now I have to take him back out solo and see if he's behaving again. This is so odd.

Re: What happened?
It's really wierd, I don't get stunned that much (except at a few really inconvenient times, but I think that's just my bad luck.)
I did go out one day and all of my hotbar icons faded as if I were stunned, but I could still do things.
Sometimes, you can force it to update by deleting a certain file in your EQ2 directory, but I have no idea which one that would be.

Re: What happened?
I do not have a templar and know very little about the class but i had similar issues on my warlock. I could cast my spells but they would simply not go off after i completed the cast. Last server maintainance downtime somehow fixed it for me (think it must've been some kind of corrupted file my launchpad had to re-download after the server reset). So i suggest you do try that file scan, maybe you'll have the same results as me, but maybe it won't do anything at all. Might be worth the gamble.
Other than that I have no idea what you could do. At least you now know there are more ppl out there camping with similar problems (same thing happened to a friend of mine who plays a wizard, a filescan fixed it for him).
