Best procs from items?
I wonder if there has been a discussion about the best proc items for templars, but I didn't find it here. As my gear is not fabled and I want to support raids as good as possible, I think there are quiet good items out there, just through the proc they have on. As I don't have any proof or numbers, maybe someone can provide more input?
From other discussions it seems, that for mana restoration, the following are good:
- pond wash (chardok collection girdle)
- siphonsoul (does not stack)
( I also use - mana leak, but not sure, if it's worth)
For additional healing boost, it seems that the following is the best:
- overloaded heal (stacks)
- healing blanket
I wonder if one of the ward procs would be more useful than overloaded heal?
- runic cover (does not stack)
- shelter (does not stack)
( I also use - overflow as a proc, but maybe again overloaded heal is better?)
Also worth a consideration is the 10% reduction on reuse timer proc from the unrest cloak:
- harnessed power of the estate

Re: Best procs from items?
Power maintenence procs: - Pond Wash
- Illusionist Epic's proc
- Manawell
- Displacement
- Replenishing Heal
- Soul Siphon
Healing power procs: - Empowered Heal
- Overloaded Heal
- Runic Cover or depending upon performance when live Hate Shield
- *the other one from above
- Healing Blanket
- Shelter
- Overflow
Ranked from my experience in how effective from best to least effective.
Unlike yawgmoth I see overflow being useful in some situations for some people, like on a non heal intensive fight and you are DPSing a few of these procs if you have slots they fit in that is not directly affecting your DPS or spot healing ability can serve you well. But I'd rather just leave my normal gear as intact as possible and heal with my class heals and ward/heal procs from those.
But in general I just gear for and towards the maximum amount of healing power, that is +crit and runic cover, overloaded heal, empowered(after lu44), and hateshield(after lu44). Then fit in Manawell procs where I can around those items and if not sacrificing +crit or a heal/ward proc a replenishing heal or two.

Re: Best procs from items?
out of the power procs, manawell ive found is the superior one equaling or even surpassing pond wash if you have two or more of the proc. The procrate alone on manawell (2.0ppm) makes it better than replenishing heal (1.4ppm iirc?). im not logged on atm so cant check the numbers.
out of the healing procs, overloaded heals on the legendary items with the high procrate and heal amount (2.0ppm and 340ish hp iirc?) make them an awesome healing proc. Runic cover on one item will outperform 2 x shelter procs, ive found. Runic cover will also be upped from 400hp to 720hp in the next LU so ward crits for 1k will be kinda sexy i think.
also the healing wave earring from t7 still is a very good heal proc.
cant comment on the rest as i dont have tnt cloaks/items or even claymore yet :S
oh i do know that overflow is not worth it as its on hostile spell, just scrap those items completely.

Re: Best procs from items?
I lied up there. Hateshield from the Rune Etched hat is far and away the best healing proc right now.

I want to see how much healing I do with the gloves on AE heavy fights... Water sprinkler gloves + TTR cloak is pretty hot.

Re: Best procs from items?
Yeah our MT cleric who won the SoH hat had in some fights the hateshield proc doing 200+ health per second tonight, was craziness.

Thats what I was thinking also earlier today. I was trying to figure out a way to get the two set bonus without losing anything while still using rustling vine armwraps, but not happening.
The buckler than comes from SoH is pretty sweet also, but is 5 heal crit and 5% fast cast with a self stoneskin proc worth losing just under 400 protection? I'm leaning towards "maybe" depending on the fight/group.
