Default Reverence doesn't parse, but the Mystic Mythical does?

Can anyone explain why Reverence (ancient teaching, heals when power is used) does not show up in ACT, but the Mystic Mythical click effect (heals and gives power when damage is done) does?

I assume that reverence does not create a log line, or ACT would have been able to parse it long ago. Apparently, the mystic mythical logs it; it shows as a heal called "Spirit Tap" in ACT. Is there any technical reason why the eq2 devs could not add the same logging information to Reverence?

Technical reason? No. It's just something that hasn't been done because well, nobody really knows why :0

because back when templars ruled the parse, it was decided that SoE hated templars, and made shamans rule the parse, hence, they left out templar's stuffs!

bastards.

I would love for them to put in the log text for reverance, stoneskin and shield ally.

It is kind of annoying that alot of our healing doesn't show up on parse.

Although shield ally and stone skin doesn't show up on the parse, you can see their effectiveness in ACT by looking at the avoidance report of the tank (right click your tank's name and go to avoidance report).

Yes, this is a peeve of mine. SK reaver mania shows up in parse as well. There just isn't any line saying Reverence Heals So-and-so for x amount.

I remember going through CoA and getting out healed by a SK

Stoneskin and Shield Ally are not healing. You don't need to lift a finger for those two to work.

Otherwise you'd need to include defiler debuffs as well, as well as all other debuffs reducing mob damage and attack speed and melee skills and and and etc.

Spores and Glory you don't lift a finger for, but it doesn't stop them from healing. Anyhow, Shield Ally and Stoneskin calculations are not instantly accurate but more accurate as more data becomes available... thus they cannot really be shown as healing. Except for if stoneskin messages stop being 1st/2nd perspective only and include mitigated values.

At this point, the only thing I can think of adding as healing is the Templar mythical effect. Adding twice the amount of damage Divine Light does before criticals as healing isn't hard at all and would be accurate.

And to me, adding things to the parse isn't about topping parses, etc. Trying to do that is stupid. It's about understanding the game better... and what can be added to fill in the picture, should.

As long as I can outparse our defiler on some fights / in some zones, I am fine. .p
