In most cases AE avoiding the sentry would be futile. It will attempt to save everyone from the AE, thus killing itself pretty quickly. If it's a strong AE, it will only take a few intercedes to kill it. The sentry would have to be one of the very first in the AE list for AE avoid to make any difference. Not to mention I thought AE avoid was group friend only... the Ancestral Sentry is not grouped. You can cast "Friend" spells on it, but not Group or Raid Friend.

I can't say what everyone else is doing but for me, I am specced all dps. I don't even have the heal crit maxed. Now before you go saying "what a tard" and i'm sure some of you will, I will tell you why I went that way. It is my experience in this tier that once you get into VP and have your Mythicals, healing becomes a joke unless you are MT healer. And even than the MT is easy to keep up if he has decent gear. The thing that matters most in this tier is flat out DPS. I usually solo heal my group and average around 2k parse on trash. Depending on the name I may have to jump in and help heal, but 90% of the time I am playing wack-a-mole on my attack spells and debuffs. Yea I know I said DEBUFF Sep, lol. Looking back I think it was funny too. At any rate, our guild has asked all of our healers to go max dps instead of max heal and it is working out great. Less time a mob is alive = less time we spend healing. Just my thought, there are many ways to play your toon.
