Default castspeed vs reuse vs all

hi!

In my templars template I got the Crimson Robe of Alendine and the Cardinal's Tonlets. As of now, I allways thought, that castspeed was the way to go with my toon and I really miss the T7 legendary 33% effect.

In the guild I'm in, we just started wiping to Druushk slowly but surely learning the damn thing. That started me wondering, if it would be a good idea to rethink the focus of equipment.

How big is the impact of reuse increase in comparison to castspeed or healcrit. I'm talking named fights only and in this special case Druushk. I'm especially interested if the faster reuse of Repent would make a difference.

How high can you get reuse with items and which are worthwhile using?

And, does the ruese follow the same damn formula as castspeed:

newcastspeed = originalcastspeed * 100/(100 + sum(allcastspeed))?

I'm a big reuse/ casting speed fan. it seems like crits are wasted a bit on reactives. For Vital Intercession (MasterI) which should heal for 613-749, but with ~55% crits and claymore I'm seeing averages of 680-700ish iirc. Should be higher i would think. When I equip heal crit gear I'm mostly thinking of a crit repent. It's nice to see a huge reactive heal but with a good shammy they are uncommon.

It's possible to get 5seconds off recast of repent.
Cloak of Unrest
Ring of the Four Winds
Cardinal Tonlets

You can get cast haste from:
Nagol's Treasure (5%)
Fabled Epic proc (10%)
Cloak of Alendine (10%)
Rustling Vine Armwraps (4%)

Not quite the 33% of the T7 legendary set but it's close. I havne't been able to get the nagol's Treasure but my cast time on repent is 1.81 with procs to compare (with 25% haste from gear and 14.4% from aa)

there is probably better gear than what i've listed.. but that's what i have access to from what we've cleared (working on nexona atm).

For Druusk in particular, I would sacrifice everything gear wise for Shield Ally. That means wearing the MC pieces (Helm, Shoulder, Forearm, Neck), parry% food/drink, Drek Shield, etc. Parry adornments, as well.

Once you are farming VP, you're better off with other gear. But for the initial kills of Nexona and Druusk, it's pretty useful IMO.

Yes, but since the lack of reuse items in the game and from templar AA's, you probably won't get close to capping it or experiencing diminishing returns.

What I would do if I were you is focus on casting speed until you are around ~55% or so in a raid setting, then go for reuse.

With a monk, dirge, AA's, Epic your at:

14.4 + 8 + 10 + 14? (forget what exact m1 mindfull is)

= 46

Then all you'll need is 1-2 more pieces of casting speed gear to hit 55, then focus on reuse after that.

Just to get the items right. The Rustling Vine Armwraps have 4 reuse according to lootdb and the Cardinal's Tonlets are 4 castspeed.

As a cloak I got lucky on my first R2 run and looted the healers cloak from Ramhammer. That one is just too good to take off

I am at 60 castspeed in Raidsetup with fabled epic proc up. of course, everyone could use more but the "damn" shamans allways get Coersive Healing

@quasigenx:
I figured that. As MT-Group Templar, I have Guard of Drelikus, as well as parry adorns, etc. I use the crafted necklace for the tougher named fights as well as parry food and drink. I also would use Yeb-Soth's Guardian but the damage shield prevents me from bashing the dragon with a weapon, since eating up group wards seems like a bad idea, especially with the fast attackspped on that club.

In general it seems that reuse would be better then crit, I will try to focus on that.

Reducing reuse speed will shave off higher numbers than reducing cast speed ofc. The simple answer with almost everything in ROK is... try to get both. Atm (killed Druushk, not Nex) the following holds true: No mob does so much damage that I'd need faster reuse. If it happens that the MT takes more damage, it's from adds/OT down, and then it's a wipe anyway.

"Need" is not the question here, but "want" or "would be helpful" or "helps a ton" is.

Next go on Druushk seems to be Saturday or Sunday depending on raid participation. Lets see if can get the damn thing to fall.

ive seen some temps still using that nem ankh crap from eof cuz they think they can get 100% casting speed. Ive run that crap with divine recovery and death march and time compression all at once and you dont cast at some amazing speed its always the same as if you were using 1 of the spells.

Cap is half your base casting time.............................................. .......... equaling 100% faster casting.
