I'm not as knowledgeable about the plight of mages. Resists on my offensive stuff seems fine in solo/group/raid settings. In duels, it's totally borked. Other players resist spells to such an extent that physical damage dealing classes have a huge advantage.

But as someone else said, who really gives a fuck about duels.

The whole resist/wis system in eq2 is all broken right now I think. From solo, group, raiding to dueling. They definately need to review it and make some changes.

That's a really good question. On the one hand, we have the spell Cure which mentions every type it can cure individually. If it did 176 levels that way, it could cure a maximum of 20 level 88 effects.

On the other hand, it looks like it is a different effect type than a standard cure. More like a dispell spell in order to get the dispell effect under it to work? In that case it could be either what you said, or what I said.

I haven't looked at the effect label of Cure in a while... and especially not on test, so that may be a better indicator.

I still wonder how much +x to slashing and so on really helps in hard numbers. You hardly see items with those stats except for adornments of course. And then the numbers are always very low.

Anyone did some testing on this?
