Talking about Shield of Rainbow Hues... It's a t7 item, so actual block % for a lvl80 toon won't be as high.

Aye, shield protection value's scale vs opponent level. Rainbow will likely have less block than Drelikus vs lvl80's and above.

Fucking awesome change. That will hurt the people most who are struggling to get past their fucking cockblock VP named. Probably caused by making the RE2 cloak and ring/wrist and the blue shiny award available giving a total of +5% uncontested avoidance.

I really hope this gets rethought a bit. If the guard is really that overpowered that it has to be changed 8 months into the expansion, ok fine but to take 226 protection away which is ~25% off seems extreme...

When I'm awake and can sound more logical I guess I'll go see if something is posted already on the official forums and start a post if not.

The Shield of Rainbow Hues has higher protection because it is a Round Shield, that happens to be wearable by Priests.

The Guard of Drelikus is a Buckler.

It has nothing to do with a T7 item being better than a T8 item.

That would be like comparing the mitigation of T7 Plate Armor and T8 Chain Armor. They are two completely different things.
