I have not used shield ally since we got past Druushk and Nex the first time. Nothing really hits that hard now anyway. I will be looking for a refund for the 75 plat I spent on the shield and the 12 plat on the fabled adornment. Ofcourse there is so much plat in the game now and nothing to spend it on, so who really cares? I have to be honest, this tier sucked ! Bring on the next tier already and don't fuck it up this time. I AM FUCKING BORED PLAYING MY TEMPLAR !!!!
If I didnt need to harvest on my pvp toon I would probably fall asleep during raids now.

Except the "upgraded" bucklers are worse (for shield ally) than what we started with.

*shrug* The GoD was overpowered and out of line in any case. And I am unsure if 5 healcrit, +5 castspeed and the self stonskin are not actually worth the ~250 loss in protection. I certainly think they are, but have no data to prove it.

the ~250 protection missing are arround 2% block, which means 1.3% missing on the MT. From my point of view the castspeed and the healcrit will more then compensate for this.

I'll agree the hate sheild stats can make up for the loss in protection... BUT how many are going to be able to get it?

We've been running hate quite a bit and have had one drop total. Other people have reported never seeing it drop. So talking like this shield that we are losing is easily replacealbe with something comparable is a bit of a streatch.

People already in VP will apparently have a couple options but people who are still working to get there only have the hate shield as an option now and this is really going to hurt.

As we are almost ready to move into VP, the last thing people want to do is go back to farm hate. They want to move on to the new stuff... which will now be harder because we didn't progress fast enough to beat the nerfs.

As much as I hate losing the protection on the GoD I have to agree that they screwed up with making a buckler more powerful protection wise then a round shield.

What annoys the hell out of me is that gap between the guilds who already finished quite a lot of the T8 raid progression and the ones who are just starting will be even bigger and harder to overcome for newer guilds once more. (not only talking about the priest shield changes but the crusader ones too).

I also hope that the Shield from SoH can make up for it.

I think my guild has had the same luck except maybe we got one shield if its the one I'm thinking of. Of course I didn't go for it because it had like 500 protection. Add to that, VS has never once dropped the warding shoulders and I begin to hate seeing these mobs every week for more dissapointment.
