Heh, the reason why several items are missing is that this list is just the old list with a few additions off the top of my head, plus the few suggestions posted here. Also, I am not in an avatar-killing guild, so I know avatar loot only from Xanadu's website, and oversights are easy to make.

About power proc items in general: On the whole, most of the templars will need 1 or more of them, but they're not supporting us in our role, which is healing. The Di'Zok girdle f.e. is inferior to the Goblin Skull one IF you have enough power already (maybe you got other good power procing gear). I don't, and I am wearing the Di'Zok, but generally speaking, for a templar, to give us more dps/healing, a pure power procing item does nothing to further that (directly). I'll try to include a power item for each slot somewhere tho of course.

Nagol's treasure is probably so low because there are very good rings out there, yet less than a handful good chests. But yea, I dunno about the robe. I have it, but I don't use it much because of the resists and because I get power problems and then have to switch in 1 more power item which hurts me in that slot. Personally, I'd rank it a bit lower, but many HC templars wear it.

Does anybody still use the Hoop of the Chosen? What do 10% mitigation really do for the MT?

The Crimson Robe will generally help you more with your power problems unless the only power proc item you have is the Mystical Aura BP. The casting speed will net you more procs off the other items than generally what swapping the 10% casting speed for another proc will gain.

Rating items higher because they have a small bit of +crit while ranking items with indirect bonuses such as power procs and casting speed lower because they don't numerically increase your heal amount doesn't make sense to me.

Just for understanding, how will a faster cast speed help me trigger more procs? Is the proc rate adjusted to the casting speed?

You're arguing towards a certain build where f.e. the power proc girdle is a fundamental keystone without which the build wouldnt work. I prefer to rank the items with a few crits higher than pure power proc items, and items who have both crits and power procs above the rest. But I can be persuaded to change it if people agree with that. /shrug Making this list doesnt mean I know the game better than other people per se.

procs are normalized off the base casting speed so more spell haste = more procs over time

There is only so much healing our spells alone can perform. The only way to break the plateau is to manipulate how much you proc, sacrificing crit and heal amount for recast(which you would have to do to attempt to maximize recast) works to an extent, but will not equal proc's for increasing your healing ability.

So I built to increase proc rate, never run out of power, and keep a reasonable level of crit (60% at lowest depending on how much dps/power proc gear I am wearing). Secondary to those are recast speed and DPS buffs/mods.

Why is the Hammered Black Iron Chestplate so high on your list? It also has an icon even though it doesn't have any additional effects? I am not even sure I would use it at all even though the raw stats are nice.

That chest has +2 heal crit and +30 or so heal mod. It's a bummer sometimes images from lootdb are incomplete. :/
