Anyone who says the VP set helm is better than the REH is an idiot, plain and simple. Obviously you're never casting enough spells to proc it. I make a habit of "overhealing" to get it to proc on my group. Even with the EMG nerf I can still proc those regularly too.
I put on my 4 set bonus VP set to buff hp, then swap out to crimson robe.
