OK, I'm pretty cool so I'm starting a new trend, all you newb ass clerics better go spec wisdom line and ditch your lame heal crits for TSO.

This is a prelim. post and i'm still testing, but it just makes great sense in TSO simply becuase ALL OF THE UNDEAD - guk 100%, Befallen 100% Atrebe < 100%.

I'll admit I havnt read thru many Templar or Cleric threads for that matter, but the abilities to unlock "undead protection" are pretty cool (11k crit aoe nukes) I have just not seen any posts commenting on wisdom line for TSO. so i figured i'd start one.

Bottom line here, Clerics will kick ass in undead zones not only by the added DPS, but the ability to give your group an aoe stoneskin for 16 seconds every 5 mins is pretty damn amazzing. I think this will come in handy if your tank is near death or he just cant hold agro well (uncurable stuns)and that badass scout gets 16 seconds of immunity from inc damage. This ability will no doubt help on lower corridors named that summon crap loads of adds.

Think about it, discuss it, I'd like to see some feedback on the idea, I'm not saying this spec is end all be all, but for 7+ or so heroic zones and who knows about the raid usefulness in mad crusader,it is a nice addition to the AA mirror. Let's face it, guk zones get really hard and not too many average players are willing to take a single healer in, I think clerics (especially Templars) are capable of solo healing these zones.

IMO, Not very useful, unless you want to parse higher than usual in which case you'd spec something along the lines of 4/4/8 STR, STA, WIS and INT or AGI.

Protection from Undead is not nearly as useful on the encounters in Tomb as you'd think, the only encounter it would be remotely useful on is maybe Gynok, but then Gynok himself doesn't hit all that hard apart from his Delevel/Death touch/Curse thingy-ma-bob. I don't think it'd increase your Off-tanks survivability all that greatly too, you'd probably use it once when all 4 "adds" are up and then never use it again during the encounter.

of course a templar can solo heal any zone, even the harder ones (outer halls). I would probably spec wisdom for outerhalls for the lulz but frankly why are we talking about heroic zones again

Well I'm an Inquisitor, so

But yeah, "no damage" once every 5 minutes for 16 seconds won't really make or break a non-raiding Templar in these zones either.

I have been working on a melee DPS spec for solo content (and group when we have to many healers for a group). Right now I am spec'd similar to what Phrozen posted while also utilizing the new TSO stuff like litany of combat, blessed yaulp, and overwhelming arms. I just switched to the Thex Hammer from Supple Dogwood Staff and I am parsing arround 2600 on the training dummy by casting spells between swings. I am going to switch my AAs to add in 4/8/8 wisdom and drop all my int line to accomodate it. I'll let you know what I see. Also going to add in a few undead bane items.
