imo it's not OP due to it having that cast time and not being a ward, and 5min recast. If they changed it, it would be almost useless for raiding.

I agree, definitely not OP but definitely useful for *all* Templars, even for casual players in group settings. I saved the tank multiple times during last night's raid - as long as you're nimble-fingered, it doesn't go to waste very often (i.e. someone else healing right as you're casting Sacrifice).

Like Aditu, my heat resist is one of my lowest, but I think taking a couple hundred damage for a spell considering the 5-minute recast is more than fair.

Hmm, don't you mean a few thousand damage?

Anyhow, I remember when everyone thought that Repent wasn't working properly and that it should immediately drop upon the first time it healed anything... otherwise it was overpowered. They thought it was broken because of one of the effect lines saying it dropped upon damage taken... which they failed to realize was when the ward portion was broken.

No, I've only taken a couple thousand damage a few times. Maybe I'm just lucky, but as I cast Sacrifice I glance at my HP. It usually just goes down by a few percent; on occasion it goes down by 10-15%. Sacrifice hit me for about 25% the other night, but I think that's the only time it's hit that high.

I'd have to look back through logs and see how much damage I'm actually taking versus how much is being missed by wards/heals.

I'm betting you're eating some wards. A 16k Sacrifice will inflict maybe 4k damage on me.

Brace of corporal darklight (spelling?) absorbs the damage completely. Have the proc up and use sacrifice.

Since I pretty much chain cast my group heal for SoH hat procs, sacrifice hardly ever even brings my health down.

I think it's absolutely godly.

You guys are acting like a child caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Which implies that you think it's overpowered and needs to be changed. I don't think in that way, so I talk about it when I feel like it.

If it changes, so be it... but just because something doesn't change after a certain amount of time because it was kept "secret" doesn't mean it won't change because it was that way for too long.
