I'd rather have a dead cleric (chance to be revived quickly) than a dead tank (aggro all over the place, a lot of dead people, difficult to recover).

The spell was meant to work similar to soulward but with a cleric like flavor to it. So it should not eat through wards and other effects on the player which is what was fixed. On further review, I set the casting time to be instant and instant recovery which should allow you to heal yourself back up quickly after using it.
Lol a "cleric like flavor"
Translation: "Unlike soulward, it has the chance to both kill the cleric AND be completely useless"

If they wanted a cleric like flavor, they would make it a massive heal triggered death save or a single trigger stoneskin that costs 95% of the cleric's health.

As it is now on test? Meh, its about as useful as DA is, situationally strong, but limited use.

Heh, I actually went over both of those suggestions in my SoE thread... but they already made one change and probably consider it a job well done and not worth looking at further. But I'm just cynical.

Playing this game for so long will do that to you. You tend to get tired of the sledgehammer nerfs when only a small change is needed.

A running joke i have is when someone bitches about nerf, i just remind them "take a step back, clear your mind, and now you may find clarity in SOE's events, changes, and events. You will even find method and make sense of said things. Simply look around and think 'If I were SoE, and I hated all my players, what would I do' " I know there's always a little truth in joking, but i'm starting to think I'm right.
