Actually the spread is similar only the delay is shorter. With max haste (125%), thats an delay of 1,34s. I don't know how bad that is for a Templar, but for pure DPS the Shovel is better. Esp. due to the damage proc.

p.s. and there is still the infamous Bonecrusher that never wanted to drop for me.

Flurries can proc off of DA's.

The Thex Mallet seems much better than the lava wrought great hammer, but I'm curious as to the thoughts versus these two. The Thex Mallet just seems much easier to time a spell in between swings, where with the lava hammer I'd be mashing in 2 or 3 spells and always felt like I either cast too many spells and delayed my swing, or didn't cast enough spells and sat there waiting until the swing. I do miss those crazy flurry hits with the lava hammer though.

I haven't been able to test Palace trash yet, but with 100% MC and 100% DA I've been doing about 2.3k on nameds in Vaults of Eternal Sleep. It's hard to get a legitimate number because most fights are either too fast for you to get the maximum out of your DPS or they require you to be healing. Unless, of course, you find a healer that can solo heal the zone... but wouldn't you take a legitimate DPS class over an experimental Templar, then?

Last palace I did run, the highest parse was 7,5k with about 4,6k average on trash in mage group with troub. Usually I wear mostly the t2 shard dps gear and jewelry. I haven't got any 2-hander yet but working on the mallet hq and running df for the hammer almost every day but it never drops. Which adornment would be the best for the 2-hander?
