Yeah, but I wanted to get 100% DA using only AA's so I'd have more gear options. Attempting to get over 100% DA just brings back diminshing returns, right? I'd take a piece of gear with DA on it, not because it HAS DA, but because it has other stats that I like, though I'm mostly wearing SK and Wiz gear for DPSing, with a little bit of Bar mixed in.

What Diminishing Returns? It brings back hard Cap. You hit 100, you hit 100. There is no curve, it's a straight line, 1 point is 1 point.

I may have a misunderstanding of the terms "hard cap" and "diminishing returns," so correct me if I'm wrong. I'm to believe that "hard cap" means that the number won't go up on your Persona window, no matter what you do, versus "soft cap" meaning the number is going up, but it's not doing anything for you. If my understanding is correct, 100% is definately NOT the "hard cap," and purposely spending points in AA's to increase it when it's already at 100% would bring about "diminishing returns," or as I think of the term, "wasted efforts."

Bah. Any time I'm grouped with a Bard, someone expects me to heal. >_>

Some stats cap at 100%. Going up higher is pointless since a chance effectively higher than 100% just means you'll always get the benefit.
Double attack is amongst those. Heal crit, too. This is because they are not modified by the level of the mob you're fighting. They are checked "against yourself", if you want.

Re: DPS guide for Templars 2.0 - TSO
First, a parse from palace trash (1 or 2 chain pulls)
Group was Templar, Troub, Illu, Brigand, Warlock, Wizard - Didn't have TC or UT though, they went to the Wiz/Lock. High parse of 8.7k.
My question is how are you getting your melee dps so high? Even against the training dummy I can only hit 1.3k from just smacking the mob with my weapon (+ debuffs ofcourse). Going full out my best time is 55 seconds, something like 3.6k i think. I have the usual 100% DA/Melee Crit, also have 100% Spell Crit and about 23% Bonus to Spell Crit (15 from DPS stance ofc)
Any advice as to how to improve my melee dps would be greatly appreciated, the proc change has taken my zonewides below 7k and I'd like to get them back :D
Using the Heavy Hammer of Hard Knocks from WoE on this parse

Thex Mallet seems to shoot melee DPS through the roof, even though it doesn't hit as hard as the Hard Knock Hammer.
Also, if you don't have the Flurry AA, you might consider getting it.

Re: DPS guide for Templars 2.0 - TSO
Menludiir, DPS Mod and Strength are the two things as a Templar it is kind of a pain in the ass to acquire in quantity without serious outside buffing. DPS Mod more importantly than Strength considering the differing levels of impact they have per point.
