Default Re: Betrayal

The INQ I raid with usually runs with about 3-6k+ DPS depending on the zone/group set up. Would have to check logs to see how he's reaching that number, but it's fun to hear more conventional DPS classes bitching, "Get that healer out of my parse!"

Maybe some of the other ex-INQ's can give some insight on that. I know there are some Templars here who post equally high parses, but the highest I've ever reached during a raid (at full healing spec, MT group) was about 1.8k.

we regularly raid with 2 templars and an Inquisitor. When the Inquisitor is not busy shoving pizza rolls down his hole he can kick our ass handily on the parse and still solo heal his group of chokers. I regularly see him around 4k with spikes higher and ofcourse lower when some real healing has to be done. I have always been a temp so not sure how he does it but I will tell you that I can give him a run for his money on the parse. I usually am the ot healer and with a Dirge I can parse 3 to 4 k if I am trying and 2k just by swinging my hammer and watching the Laker game. I have heard bigger numbers from other Clerics and I was once a skeptic but I have personally spiked my dps over 6k. As ridiculous as that sounds our raid is gaining 10 to 12k DPS just from our 3 clerics. On top of all those juicy buffs. I personally wear a choker, hey if I have to heal it I might as well have it too. I also have the eathernaut ear piece and the shadow oddesey end line censer thingie (the name of the item escapes me). I do have some sweet fabled gear but not near as much as some. My point is, don't sell yourself short. Templar is the new dps machine on the block. We are not just healers anymore. I actually am having fun playing my temp especially when I out parse a mage.

I'm curious to see how the OP will parse as a Templar now. Can we can have an update, Attuny?

My problem is a general need to upgrade gear (after an 18 month break from the game) and respec my AA's.

icmc... you do know the choker is very average for your DPS, right?

Get a necklace from the twins in Palace of the Awakened One, found it helps alot more, especially for templars, than the choker did.

I will try and update you but I'll be completely honest. I tend to watch healing so much that I don't do near the damage I can. I am always scared of running out of power because I was busy casting my stupid damage spells. My thought are that my job in the group is to heal, and I make sure I get it done.

It was pretty funny last night though, I didn't realize how big of a pain it would be to betray. It took about 10 minutes for all the spells to finish. After they finally did I then realized that the majority of them were completely new and I had no idea what most of them did.

I used 5 hotbars with the inq and it seems I will be able to use the same amount with the temp. The hard part is looking over all the spells and making sure I get them all on the hotbars and the most updated version. I imagine the first few times I group I am going to be less than stellar but it shouldn't take to long to learn.

Having to buy all new Ad3 spells is a real bummer. I spent almost 20 plat on fire emeralds to make the spells last night. I do like being a dark elf templar though...The townsfolk look at me funny and say wierd stuff as I run by.

Ok real question now....

Can anyone clarify how the Enhance Cures work? The discription makes it sound like a reactive heal. Does it automatically heal/cure them if they take more of that type of damage? In my haste I maxed out all of the cures because I figured that would help me be a better healer. I can always respec so no biggie if this was a bad idea.

Thanks again for you input.

Steer clear of the enhanced cures. They're shittier than shit that has been smeared all over with shit. If you have enhanced trauma cure, and you cure a trauma on somebody, that person gains a small reactive (200 points afair) that lasts for 60s. So you gotta cure something first to get a shitty small useless extra reactive.

Wow so spending 5 AA's into each one gives one reactive heal of 200hp? If that is the case then I will drop them immediately. I do have to keep some points in them because of Sanctuary.

The only reason to even remotely think about the stupid ass cure line is for enhanced sanc. However i am considering dropping that considering all you really get is 10 lousy ass seconds.. Seriuosly is there any other justifaction for it?? Considering most mobs will lead off with a control effect in the first 15 seconds of a fight why should i really be concerned..

did anyone else drop enhanced sanc?

I thought the same thing but what would you replace it with? In the cleric line I went the obvious route for STA. I then chose the INT line for the increased casting speed and the Divine Recovery at the bottom. I really love that spell. Other than that everything left is build toward damage.

The templar tree is really a bummer if the cures are as shitty as you say they are. If thats the case then you have to spend points on damage spells rather you like it or not. I spent on the left side to get to the blessings spell but if I drop all the cures that will be 30 points including Sanc if you suggest or at least 13 to keep sanc.

There's nothing to replace it with, the enhanced Sanc is ridiculously good for some fights. Its arguably just as good to much, much better as Blessings depending on how much your guild does raids with mass CC mobs.
