mass crowd control as in avatars?? well zero exposure tbh.. my main purpose was to free up more AA to fill out the TSO line when i finally get to 170 AA (i know slacking but hey i just came back to the game so cut me some slack..)

ROK had some mobs that needed sanc.. but TSO i just dont see em.. Granted my progression is limited to xebnok, abs, kultak soo ya im kinda behind the curve of you ubers. Will i see the need for it in the future with the instanced content that is ahead of me?

Some, and for the few fights where there are lots of CC, it makes a huge difference.

But honestly, theres really nothing else to spend the points on in the tree that makes any difference. I would say yeah, get your TSO/KoS trees finished, get Mark/Involuntary maxed out, and then start to consider using points for the Sanc timer.

There used to be a good post somewhere on the official forums that had a walkthrough of templar spells and advice for hotbar set up, but after browsing for a few minutes all I accomplished was pissing myself off reading some of the threads.

Here's this thread instead. It's pre-TSO, but should help you get an idea of how frequently/which spells are used.

did anyone else drop enhanced sanc?
Atm I don't need Sanct for what my guild is raiding. I put the points into the Smite Wrath line for better dps on trash and easy named, and it might come in handy on Tyrannus.

However, since the shadows tree already has good dps alternatives, it wouldn't hurt that much to get Enhanced Sanct again (when I have more AAs, that is)

E:Sanctuary is very nice for avatars, but it's manageable without it. I've in particular been thinking about abandoning the cures line because mana cure just doesn't do shit. Some nights it procs an ungodly amount, and then others it won't at all. It's very nice for very cure intensive fights like mischief, but then again I'm still not sure it's worth it. I was all ready to abandon the line the other night after getting very pissed off at the proc rate of mana cure, but then I remembered....oh yeah the other AA's blow.

I don't even really consider the smites line an option. Since I'm in the mt group, I don't get to beat on things too much (palace trash), and having the smite wraths line without all the aa's to enhance my auto attack dmg is like shooting a rubber band at the mob when you should be shooting a badass handgun at it.
