There is massive gain. The default maintained window is a pile of shit. Over half of it is filled with perma buffs I couldnt care less about. And with all those little procs from my gear, reactives etc change their spot in the list almost every second, and now that I've got manacure, all the tiny cure reactives (especially the one from group cure) make it so that some spells dont even appear anymore. I want my information in one glance in exactly the spot I desire it to be.

that i can agree with.. so you gain space by eliminating the maintained.. now is there a way to get rid of those bars and just keep the reactive count or amount left on ward?

I dont think you can get rid of the bar with the mod as it is, but you can f.e. decrease the window width to 60% of what you see in my SS.

Though I wonder why so many people are focussed on space... buy a bigger monitor v.v
