Bladedance is worthless, so are wardens.

Relatively new to the raiding thing with a templar, but I have a question. When I precast the spells listed (namely Repent and the 2 reactives), I tend to end up dead a lot on the pull as I get immediate aggro. What am I missing?

Correct. Reactives will generate you a position of threat. As long as the tank throws a taunt or uses a damage attack, it should come off of you.

If you are trying to cast sanctuary on every pull then you should learn what exactly the mobs do...I use it on a handful of encounters.

The biggest thing in this thread that got me, people actually use the mythical clicky? It sucks balls. On pull, if you just maintain repent and the 2 reactives for the pull then that should be all you need. If you have a very very short notice pull then just focus on getting those up as quickly as possible starting with repent, st then group reactive.

If tank is pulling without a NASA shuttle launch and nobody is dying, you don't need a count down.

If your tank is one of those people who counts down like mine ("Incoming in 10...9...3-2-1!") or pulls without warning, then you should already know to keep reactives up in between pulls. Templars really shine when things get hairy, anyway.

I do occasionally use a Reverence macro for out-of-group choker wearers, even though I agree with Mafoe that I shouldn't have to. Reverence doesn't exactly make or break a fight, but it becomes everyone's problem if overzealous DPSers paired with lax/fill-in healers go down and heal encounter for x%.

If that is the case then you should let them die. If you do the healing for the healer in their group then it just encourages them to do it more. Let them die and make them step and do their job. If they can't do it then tell them to get the fuck out and find someone who will.

Or you use a free 8% damage reducer additionally.

You have to let it break before it can be fixed? I agree, and I wish it were that simple; we don't exactly have a crowd of Kurajas to fill empty healer slots.

...Unless, of course, you can be bribed to *fill my slot.* An empty healer slot, that is.

I am not a templar... but i have heard people complain about templars pre-healing or whatnot because they instantly steal aggro from the tank. Is this true?
