So I picked up my four set last night which means I lost my VP two set. I was going through my banked items this morning and noticed I had a pattern for the Lavaworn Breastplate of Chaotic Energy. Upon closer inspection I found that this BP has the Greater Salubrious Aura effect on it. On paper this effect looks pretty decent 530ish with 3 triggers. This effect looks to be a fairly compelling reason to finally ditch my last VP piece. With ditching the Credence BP I loose a little in stats (no huge deal), about 100 heal amount (bit of a bummer as I love my phat repent crits) and about 250HP from group health buff (I know an OT who will be disappointed).

So my burning question is has anyone done any testing of Greater Salurious Aura, is it any good? Does this sound like a reasonable tradeoff?

The effect is terrible. It might be okay if you are solo healing a group, but generally speaking it is terrible and you aren't going to notice it healing for much.

just equip it and parse it. if the effect does less than 2%, ditch it.

btw you can equip the vp bp and cast the group buff, then switch out

Yeah I'd pretty much decided I was going to try it out anyway. Shame to hear that folks are finding it pretty ordinary. I would have thought that it would be slightly better than overloaded heal procs. I still have one OLH item which nets me about 2 - 3% as an OT healer (depending on the encounter). With Greater Salubrious Aura there should be less wastage than OLH as it's a reactive buff with a 30 second timer where as OLH procs on the whole group and if no healing is needed then it is wasted.

I'll try and remember to post up my pie chart after raids. Thanks for the tip on the BP Mafoe, I had suspected as much just never tried it.

On both these occasions I was MT Templar. IMO the effect looks respectable enough, 6% on Tythus is pretty decent by most accounts. It was a good deal lower on Zarrakon but that's probably due to Shield of Faith soaking up so much of the smaller ticks of damage. I'd suggest giving this item a go before writing it off as worthless.

It doesnt look like you're casting heals on the add group @ zarrakon, but if you dont have to, even better v.v

the t2 shard bp proc usually accounted for 4% of my healparse... oddly wherever i went and chose to wear it. got my t3 bp some time ago and basically havent done much since to check it out.
