Default Just hit 80...

and now what? Being my first char, let alone first templar, in EQ2 I'm not sure where I should be looking for gear. Currently I'm using the 72 MC gear. Which instances could I run in my level of gear/experience without much hassle? Or any gear that could be easily bought to start off with. Thanks

ROK instances for AA & gear till ya get the gear upgraded. ROK questlins for AA. TSO instances for shard gear & TSO quests. Not sure how well you will do in MC gear on the TSO solo stuff.

If you just hit 80, and are still in MC gear, i would do the following.

Start off by running the Lv50-80 Scalable zones, (Commonlands, Lavastorm, Everfrost) probably mentored down, to make the zone easier. (i do not believe a Mastercrafted templar could solo heal those zones, MC armor doesn't really help your healmod & healcrit very much.)

Once you have your full T1 set, that puts another i think 25-30% healcrit on you just from T1 TSO shard gear. Continue doing this (maybe trying the more difficult zones, or running the zones at 80, to keep progression going) until your fully T2, ect.

Your T2 set will probably be the biggest difference you'll find from non-raiding. There's alot of really good jewelery that is a very rare drop from the Lv50-80 zones as well (Befallen: Halls of the Forsaken & Najena's Hollow Tower, to name two that drop nice items)
