Personally I think a good Templar is one that understand ALL of the spells in his/her arsenal.. aka .. knowing what Reverence is for and how to use it properly.

Tanks in their group seem less likely to die when the shit hits the fan.

It's really hard to distinguish a good Templar from a bad one other than the obvious "Ok the tank just died 4 times in 6 minutes."

How do you measure it? Heal parses are total crap unless the druid is quadrupling the Templear heals then you know they probably aren't on the ball. When I'm on my Brigand and playing with a Templar I can tell because I see the debuffs up. I see when they cast their reactives and whether they use a single or group. Do I see them nuking when the tank is like at 30% health? Are they on top of the mob meleeing when they know an AE is coming?

It's just hard to say.

imo ask the templar who their Celestial Praetorate is on... Especially if they are in the MT group.

I honestly don't think it's that big of deal who Celestial Praetorate is on.

If you put it on the MT, he gains about 300 to all resists which isn't very much and some bullshit strength that doesn't matter because he's probably well over 510 anyway.

If you put it on yourself, you gain about 350-400 to your max power which can help a lot during long fights.

I mean honestly, you can't say the reason you won that hard encounter was because the MT had 300 more resist because you put your Celestial Praetorate on the MT.

Str cap is far from 510 btw. Not sure if I ever get it but true it really dont matter just get that dirge str and agi song going thats where its at.
