I mean if you line up all the classes, Templars are the least easy to DPS with. Yeah I see "Ubah club" + "Scepter of Destruction" but most people don't have those.

So my question is...if you want to DPS why not have a DPS class? 700-1000 zonewide is great for a Templar but in comparison to all the other classes?

Maybe this is something I should've asked in the "Who uses 2 Templars" thread so I'm sorry to derail.

There are several buffs that the Templar can give to increase the DPS of the group. so yes they do 700-1000 themselve, but they increase the DPS from proc gear in their group by 25%. So it's actually more than 700 - 1000 DPS that gets added

Most of a templars DPS comes from trash, and i think most of the people that are showing that they parse 700-1k are secondary tank templars. and since they are discussing FTH, none of th enames in there need 2 tanks so the templar is free to dps.

I've seen templars put out 1400ish on fights and 1k+ zw with legendary broker-buyable maces.

those templars use all of their DKP/money on DPS gear rather than healer gear.

No they don't. Im guilded with him. He actually has sub-par gear and it's not dps oriented. He was an alt that he recently turned into his main. All it takes is using your *gasp* 4 damage spells correctly and using the right weapon. Using one broker-bought weapon is hardly using all of his dkp/money.
