Re: Templar Power Management Thread
math ftw, imagine I read it wrong :P
edit: Yep, I thought I was reading that it proc'd 4 times, so it woulda been 200 power, over the Di'zok 100 power. My bad

I thought that quote deserved to be here.
Anyways, there's some low-end stuff that can help you with mana, like the Girdle of the Di'Zok spirit, and the Soulshattering Band. Since, I don't have access to Zarrakon or those other mobs up on the TSO foodchain, I usually just rely on an Enchanter in group or whine about it until the raid leader gives me one.

Funny to be quoted over here in the Templar forum
But yeah, if I don't happen to be in the OT group for some reason, 75% or more of my group mana flows get directed at that group just to keep the templar there with pow. He's one of those folks I referenced above who refuses to make any minimal effort towards his own power.
If I'm grouped with a Templar for a long fight then invariably channeling is used when the Templar's out of pow. I burn power faster than anybody else, but being that Coercer mana flow with mythic gets me back to 100% power it's pretty much unfair to count that.
We've been terribly unlucky and have yet to see the Zarrakon belt drop, though we've only been killing him since mid-August.

Re: Templar Power Management Thread
If you wear 3 simple manawell items, you'll never run out of power. You lose the stats for those 3 slots, but honestly... your stats are useless without power so whatever. Two of them you can get off the broker, or from karnor's. Another is from quests in Kunzar. And there are a bunch more all over RoK from quests and heroic instances. Once equipped just cast your level 9ish group heals over and over between pulls and you'll replenish like 500 power per cast. I've used the same strat all the way up to fighting avatars and my power has never been an issue.
Of course when you start raiding Zarrakon and some of the other end game TSO content there are better options, but until then 3 manawell items suffice.

Re: Templar Power Management Thread
As was already been said - group spells proc beneficial effects the most (the more ppl in grp the better). And the longer base casting time - the better procing. I.E. casting tier I grp heal is very effective despite boosting casting speed of it from Shadow AA line. Another spell which I use for pwr proc is restoration tier I.
Some ppl might find useful of having tier I shield of faith and grp reactive on the hotbar but I don't because many of harder mobs do dmg to whole grp and do arcane dmg/reflect or are just MTgrp-choker-friendly.

On xeb last night I was at 25%-50% power the entire fight, even after the nox and arcane. That necklace rocks!

Re: Templar Power Management Thread
I've decided to joust Xebnok's power drain AE because there's nothing I or anyone else can do to keep my mana up, even with a Mystic and Coercer in group, and myself spamming Manastones and Clarities while wearing the VP Manawell.

Re: Templar Power Management Thread
Cure noxious faster or stand at max heal range and make sure the mob positioning doesn't suck and you shouldn't need any of this...

Re: Templar Power Management Thread
Using Zarrakon belt and Kultak neck vs Xebnok. However I noticed my power becoming worse lately in various fights...
