Default Healing tip

Did you know reactives are calculated when the tank is hit? Did you know the healing effect from IR or MoC is also calculated this way? This does not really effect the way a templar should be played unless you have a proc, such as the claymore, that leaves a temporary + to healing buff on the caster.

If you get the proc that adds 20% to the next heal, it has no benifit to follow it up with a reactive. If possible leave the effect on you as long as you can, and then cast a direct heal. Every reactive and debuff triggered durring this time while the buff is on will have the +20% to all triggers.

Well, I just dueled myself with my wizard alt, and so far, its confirmed - at least for dueling. I beat myself down below 25% then cast a reactive on myself while using the wiz to put a dot on myself. The healing range durring the first duel was 410 to 479 on 21 triggers. Then I did the same thing except I procced the Claymore before casting the reactive. Range that time: 409 to 473 on 9 triggers. So, confirmed.

What gets me is that I did this about 6 months ago and I figured out that the claymore did proc the reactive, it showed up in the maintained spell window, you saw big reactive heals go off, and a chain of high reactive heals would show up several times in the zonewide heal parse.

So when did they change this?

BTW, thanks Rarok.

Ok, Digging up more info on this.

Here is a thread I posted back in the beginning of EoF using Tunare Stuff and the claymore proc to get a 1k reactive.

And here is the screenshot re-uploaded because imageshack dropped my last one.

I totally get what you're saying with this, but I don't understand your numbers....

first duel was 410 to 479 on 21 triggers. Then I did the same thing except I procced the Claymore before casting the reactive. Range that time: 409 to 473 on 9 triggers. So, confirmed.

Duel 1 (w/o claymore proc) 410-479
Duel 2 (w/ claymore proc) 409-473

How is the ractive in your example better with the claymore proc? or was there a typo?

You didn't have the claymore up when the reactives went off which is what he's explaining.

For example, put up a Reactive, then proc the claymore and have it up. Now get hit by somebody and have your reactives go off.

I have a better healing tip.
When the tank has low HP, heal him. That is all.
