Everybody always views Friday the 13th as an "Evil" day. But here is the truth and why it is "celebrated."<o:p></o:p>

Back when the Knights Templar were the leading and most powerful organized force on the planet there was corruption in the church and with the king of France (king Charles). They got together and formed a pact to take out the knights templar and claim all of their riches for the church and <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">France</st1:country-region></st1:place>. You see the templar created the first bank ever. So while holding everybody’s money they had the most. This was mainly because the templar were “protectors” in real life they were highly trained fights for justice and protecting, maintaining the peace and what not. Modern day police if you will. The bad part, when the church and <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">France</st1:place></st1:country-region> got together to out the templar to get their riches the thought they succeeded. On Friday the 13th July (I think) 1314 the last Grandmaster of the templar, Jaques de’maloy was burned at the stake. On his deathbed he cursed the church vowing vengeance upon them. And the cool thing about the story is that exactly 7 year later (number of the lord coincidently) the pope and king charles were assassinated. Which lead to speculation that not all the templar were killed like had been thought. <o:p></o:p>

I dont understand. Why didnt he just heal himself?
What was his heat resist at?
Did he forget to throw feathers or something?

Ok this amusing on a few different levels, I can see that you have read Davici Code and have seen the move and spend a lot of time reading history on the internet. Ok I will address some of the points in your

They did not create the first bank ever, pick up the bible The Jews, Arabs Egyptians and Asian cultures had sophisticated forms or writing math and Science long before Europeans crawled out of their caves and stop drawing on walls or even though about the development of a language or philosophical beliefs.

They were not highly trained in most cases, they were common thugs and criminals that went on Crusade to try to make amends for their crimes in some cases. For most, they where just your average criminals, while some had an education they were more like the first example of organized crime in western Europe. The rallied around the ideas of god and church because it was a useful tool to get the support of the common people. The “templars” organization is what the modern day Cossa Nostra modeled themselves after as a organization.

To a point this is true, but the assassination of the king and the pope was part of a broader issue and not just the templars wanted to se them dead. After this period the Renaissance emerged and the concepts fo Emmunel Kant and other like minded political and social philosophers changes the modern day concepts of a Republic and democracy and got away Theocracy through out Europe.

My suggestion: Do less reading on the internet, don’t take ficticous movies and books too seriously, and The book Holy Blood (forget the nam) that gave credibility to some of Dale Browns ideas of supposed fact is hs book has been debunked and lableld as fraud because what the two authors described as fact was merely innuendo and assumptions most of which can not be proven through documents of the time.

i have never read or seen the davinci code nor do i read history associated websites.

Just because a culture has language, math, and science does not mean they made a bank.

as far as how highly trained they were, maybe some were criminals and riff raff but they needed some kind of weapon and armor training to use their equipment in battle. But the high officals of the order were most likely highly trained in battle and education. The templars did have a part in the crusades thruought the centuries but they were just an army. they were much more.

my suggestion. this isn't world histroy 101. Don't take stuff so litteral. The post was only intended to give a breif summary of event and explain why friday the 13th (today is friday the 13th, did you know that? omg) is "celebrated."
