I'm the one who told Mhery last night about the chat being moved. I took a good guess as to why it was moved...fact that live players rail against test players who link raid loot that they see as sub par because we aren't linking stuff from the new raid zone or linking stuff from say Emerald Halls. I agree with Mheryl one hundred ten percent. Players on test should not be ashamed to link anything that they find in test chat channel and should not be afraid of live players railing against them.
We know on test that we are not where live players want us to be. Yes we are trying to catch up and make headway..that is why the links of raid loot are being made to the server...for recruitment. We need more players to help us make more headway through EOF. Yes we have downed the first mob in Freethinkers and are working on named mob #2 and I'm very proud of the hard work that Unholy Trinity is doing. They are working together as a real team. With more help and more teamwork I'm sure they will do great.
I don't think it's nice to just disappear off test chat channel for the sole reason of avoiding live players. That is where I draw the line. Test players having input from Live players and having worthwhile discussions over bugs, and other problems and questions encountered in game is a good thing. Ok so there are a few rotten apples who come to start problems in chat...umm..that is a problem on every server and having one guild make the rules for a chat channel is wrong. The chat is open to everybody.....if someone is making problems that is why we have the ignore option and the /report option. The QA's, Dev's and Coder's use test chat and keep track of stuff happening on test by watching that chat channel. A big thumbs up to Zindi's husband Kwoung for making the channel as it's proven it's good uses over and over.
I know test raiders feel like they are being zeroed in upon for linking stuff that is subpar but ya know? just ignore the blatant nasty comments that some live folk make and move on. It's for the better good that the whole server sees what we are doing and be proud of what the raiders on Test ARE acoomplishing which for them is a lot. Test is not a utopia and yes I admit we don't have much of economy but ya know what? having people trades stuff and make stuff for people at lower costs than what you find on live and the absence of the negativity found on live have made Test server a good home for a lot of people. I prefer being on a server where the chat is clean, the people are accomodating and nice and extremely helpful.
This is just my take on it but I'm having loads of fun on test, I get to be with nice people that I truly enjoy spending time with. If that is a bad thing oh well. We all pay to play this game and I choose to play on test because I enjoy the atmosphere, the people and I have the knowledge and experience to test the content well having played on live for almost three years. You draw your own conclusions...

I forgot to mention...I do think it appropriate however when major changes come to the game that people should be allowed to make test copies from PVE to Test PVE to test out changes. These copies should be wiped after every live update. I don't believe this would change the economy much on test or impact it in any great way since most of our economy is done person to person and not thru the broker. This would accomodate most live players. For major raid problems I feel if a Dev were to escort a guild of copied toons from live to a raid zone, and follow thru with them to see where the problem is and take notes that that would also help greatly. Again just my 2 copper.

I have no problem with people wanting to come to test and help. Copies will make test as viable as pvp test was though. That is why you need to make a committment to come play. The question to ask is this - Would you copy to test if it was one way and your character was gone from your live server ? If the answer is no then you likely enjoy live more than you would enjoy test.

Anyone that wants to come to test and needs a hand can always ask. I am always glad to give someone a jump start.

dont be a stupid cunt...the point of test is working to make your game better by eliminating problems before they go live...its not for fun.

i dont think you fucking realize your not playing the real game...you are playing on a server thats all fucked up and has been given this psuedo live/test culture...it is stuck in this limbo of people thinking that just b/c they are on test playing that they are actually testing the game.

Sorry but I disagree Widem. We still pay to play the game whether it's on test or on live. I do believe you can still have fun on test the same as you would on live. There are still ways to get a group going. There are still ways to raid. Imho it's a bit of a challenge to play on test since you can't buy certain items but instead you have to work for stuff like rares, collections items, and lore and legend quest items...now THAT is part of the fun right there.

We are testing the whole time we play kkthx. A lot of us take the time to carefully go through quests, tradesklling quests and regular tradeskilling and raiding to specifially look for bugs or stuff that is/could go wrong or things that could be exploited. Many of the people on test are very honest and duly report bugs and exploitations. Now whether the fixes for these bugs actually go through or not is in the hands of the coders and the develoopers not the players themsleves so quit blaming us when we are doing our damndest here. I have been hard at work on test myself doing all nine tradeskills, leveling as many toons as I can. Terrifier is not a cunt she is a damn good player and a nice person so quit slammin my friends.

If you really want to make a point, make a toon on test and come join us. Our server is not perfect either..we have problems the same as any other server and I will admit to this. If you can name a perfect good server out there I'm all ears.

theres your problem right there. this is not some community project. you do nothing different than any other player on live so dont think that you feedbacking or bugging some broken ass shit is something great...all you do is play the game then when something doesnt work you report it...welcome to everyone else. the only problem is you dont have the capability to test everything on test so basically you fail at the entire point of what the server was created for...its bullshit.

Oh but contrary to the fact Widem IT IS a community project. if you want fixes to your bugs get yer happy butt over to test and help out. The dev's and qa's are here for a reason on test ...that is to listen to our feedback and do something about it. If you are going to bitch about bugs then why don't you put your money where your mouth is and do something about it hmm? We do more than just /report and /bug on test ya know...oh wait you wouldn't know cause yer not here on a regular basis like the rest of us...soo...in ending..you have no soapbox to stand on.
