Default Timed Writs

So what's everyone's thought's on timed writs ?

I've had decent luck with them and have finished leveling up most of the rest of our family guild's crafter's with them. (well the better half and I have). Post lvl 58 the writs give quite a bit of exp, sp's and gsp's.

Thx Juice

They're fine for Provis. In fact, they're probably too easy for the reward you get.

Yep , they're quick on the prov , but if you lack typing skills (like me), the sage / alch / jcer writs are a pita sometimes.

The only time I can ever complete them is if no one is on to distract me with talking

I find that Thor's recipe book is/was a good UI to have cuz you could still scroll through the recipes to find the next as you were working on the first.

I can burn through a timed Prov writ in about 3-4 minutes. It'd probably be a lot harder on my Armorer, though.

Still too easy (tried with jewler carp and alch) but the rewards for completion are at least not Necropotence/DC esquely broken.

I have a tough time completing the timed writs ...that's not to say that I can't do them...I just tend to get very frustrated so I stick to the normal ones...however since I'm trying to reach lvl 70 jeweler on live atm and am stuck at 70 percent through lvl 61 I might give it a try again who knows.

I burned 7 levels on a provvy, 5 on my jeweler and 8 on my carp during the bonus xp Sunday but I must say they were all different in completion with the hardest being the jeweler to meet the time deadline while the provvy was a walk in the part (2+ mins remaining)

This was originally posted by Calthine , it's an excellent guide to doing speed crafting (aka timed writs)

Apparently they smoothed out the exp you get for timed writs , I haven't had time to test it yet. According to the patch notes they lowered it to 5% per writ now and more exp at the lower tiers.
