So there you have it.

I have however been /feedbacking this forever. It is my once a month... "hey SOE can ya do something about this."
Most teh rare Tinkerer recipes use rocks instead of loam, Fishing pole is incarnadine, Wormholes are Tynnonium. Don't know about Call of TInkerer since i can't seem to buy one or get it to drop yet.

I was avging 1 rare per 2 stacks of raws, and 1 smoldering pos per stack when I was out harvesting the other day.

6, but you get 3 back, which for how awesome the item is, is more than reasonable.

With two scouts approaching 80, I don't think it's reasonable. Why can't those things take roots or pelts, which are over-plentiful and have very little use?

I think the biggest problem with the loams at the moment is that we had so much time in the last expansion to get Adept 3's and Masters that you basically have to get the t8 loam to get an upgrade. Adept 1's just aren't upgrades. So why should I have to hold onto 6 loams for the tinkerer item and lose three spell upgrades in the process?

Sorry, I just don't really have any sympathetic response to this. I think there are too many loams in game atm as it is. Adept 3's should be the master equivalent to most heroic-zone only players, and the tinker items are supposed to be you know, rare and worth something, that's why the recipes are a random drop and not already included in the average book. And honestly, it really is an awesome awesome item. Saves a huge amount of time with these huge overland zones and in large interior zones, both heroic and raid - has saved me a lot of headache using it to get through sebilis or veeshan's peak.
