not really no, with the introduction of the Sandalwood platforms it has made the creation of a mezzanine floor much easier and of course it now only takes 4 platforms to create an entire floor instead of lots of other items.

The false ceiling below the mezzanine was a bit fiddly but nothing too taxing, you just have to make sure you put the ceiling in before you add the mezzanine floor.
