Arent the broadcloth rugs ones that have a stable surface - rectangle so you can line it up better. Ive used them for lofts a few times if i recall right

aye thats the ones.. red pattern with white border, those are best for using to make a "plane".

BTW Lummy, go to Avenawalker's or Alexiawalker's house in SQ, she did a wonderful job with the dirt patch there... not sure which house it is, but both are nicely put together. She made a fountain type oasis in the dirt patch.

The dirt patches in the housing in Qeynos and Freeport are there because originally you were going to be able to grow plants. Possibly for food? Then they decided that filling up the zones with harvestable bushes and fungus rings that no one wanted to harvest was a much better idea.

It's really just more proof that player crafting in an MMO is about as fucked up as anything can get.
