Tinkering scrolls are WAY too rare

There has not been a mender bot tinker blueprint on the Nagafen evil side broker since I began playing there six weeks ago.

That recipe is the primary reason I leveled as a tinker. Without it, there are a few cool things, but that item is the thing guilds need to raid efficiently.

The problem is that this scroll is a chest drop in EoF zones to the best of my knowledge, and everyone has moved on to RoK zones now. So something that was extremely rare to begin with has now become non-existent.

And the damn wormhole blueprints are on the broker for 20 p and up. WHY DO TRADESKILL RECIPES NEED TO BE THIS RARE, COMPLICATED AND DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN, AND EXPENSIVE.

I would like to also say that I support some recipes being rare and special, as long as they can be obtained by people willing to work for them.

A great example is the recent recipe for the Mirror of Reflected Achievements. I was willing to do appx. 300 tradeskill writs to get that recipe, because I knew I could get it for certain by doing all those writs.

But ultra-rare recipes that drop in chests based on the RNG like with the blueprints? No thank you. Please put them on a faction vendor or something, and allow me to obtain them by working or questing for them.

I'd agree with putting them on faction vendors, but the only issue with that comes into play with those of us at 50k. If we frontloaded all those writs while leveling long ago, then now when stuff gets put into game it's just handed to us.

A solution could be to make a new faction, I suppose, so we'd have to grind another 40 or 50k.

Overall, though, I'd agree, the tinkering recipies are disporportionally rare. (I know I butchered that spelling)

I love how supervaluable items can drop for any random stupid fuck but not the person who needs them, like if a McDonald's cashier found detailed plans to a next-generation ICBM.

Don't think the new RoK ones are as rare, but you would have higher level of difficulty getting them in PvP, I farmed Seb 1 day and seen 1 wormhole, 2 collapsible fishing poles and finally my call of tinkerer blueprints drop.

As far as The Eof recipes go, I've never even seen the mender bot recipe drop, I bought it off the broker early on though because I was a tinkerer disco whore on Nektulos.

What if the RoK rare blueprints were sold by faction merchants the same way as the Advanced recipes are in RoK?

I've checked the Nagafen evil broker every day for six weeks while leveling two characters in EoF past 70 now and have never seen the mendor bot scroll once.

That's just not right, this needs to change.

I'd like to see them put on the City Crafting Faction vendors.

However, I have no problem earning a different new type of faction to get them. I really don't care if I have to work to earn them. What I care a great deal about, and what I consider totally unacceptable, is for the random number generator to be solely responsible for limiting my access to high level tradeskill recipes. This is really a stupid system that needs to be changed.

They are too rare, I agree. However, at the very least you can get one made from someone that has the blueprint, and use it yourself. Just looking at the exile broker there are a handful of both portals, no call of the tinkerers, no mender bots, no fishing poles.

this should be in the carebear section. i'm glad something is rare in this game.
