I definitely think this needs some attention. If a crafter, or an account full of crafters, want to spend the money on pristine machines, enough vault space for harvests and fuel, mailbox, etc, then why shouldn't they be able to do the insane amount of writs it takes to a) level a guild or b) get faction recipes, inside their hard-earned home without zoning every 8 minutes?

I agree 100% with this. If you have a home, and you have collected enough money and status to purchase the necessary components to work from home, then not only have you experienced the game's other crafting area, but you're crafting experience is evolving as well. This gives someone something to strive for, and allows for tailored gameplay.
To get to the point that you're always working from home, you more than likely have spent a lot of time in other crafting stations in other areas of the game.
If SOE wants to add other content around crafting in other areas, it wouldn't be too tough to come up with some reason to get TSers out to a new area to craft there. Otherwise, it seems like you should allow people who have been busting their ass to TS in their own home the opportunity to TS in their own home.
Personally, I'd forego the ablity to buy fuel within my home for the ability to work remotely for work orders. So you have to go make a run to the local crafting shop to buy stacks of fuel; seems fair enough to get TSers out of their house. I'm not really sure why SOE cares whether someone who's paying at least 15 bucks a month only wants to see one area in the game. (????)
The world today is all about off-shoring business models anyway, is it really that far fetched for a crafter in EQ2 to take and fullfill work orders from their home??
