Icon14 TS xp and other questions

so this is pretty much a compilation of every question i still have about tradeskilling:

1. how do xp modifiers stack? i'm mostly talking about vitality, bonus xp (from bonus weekends or whatever) and xp potions (from both veteran rewards and LoN). if i drank 2 potions at the same time would they stack? would they stack with vitality and bonus xp? does bonus xp stack with vitality?

2. approximately how many primary raws (e.g. metal for weaponsmiths/armorers or wood for carpenters/woodworkers) would i need to get from one tier to the next assuming i'm pretty much grinding out writs and getting all 1st time pristine xp? i know it'll vary alot i'm just looking for a really general estimate. mainly interested in lvl 40+ for this part just so i know how long i should be harvesting for. this assuming you have no vitality and no xp modifiers.

3. are there any special recipes (in other words not like, advanced sage 34 or something) for any class that can not be bought from crafting trainers/faction merchants? i know of the bloodlines ones and the ones from deathfist citadel as well as one from CL (mooshga mush or somethin) and one from antonica (golden acorn). are there any others? this includes tinkering/transmuting btw.

4. are there any crafting quests outside RoK, and if so where can i find them? not quests that have a crafting part like say wurmslayer but a tradeskilling quest, preferably one that a lower lvl adventurer would be able to do. the only one i know of is the one that awards you a lvl 20-29 advanced book (journeyman service?).

5. where can i find equipment with +crafting skills? i know of only the artisans tunic that you get from the starter quests and a hammer that drops in sol's eye for weaponsmiths (which incidentially doesn't help me at all because my weaponsmith is an assassin ).

6. not really a question per se, but are there any helpful tips that maybe you know that you could share? maybe something that isn't generally known or common practice but helps alot?

thanks lek, ill be sure to get my hands on those.

i also just remembered one other question i had somehow forgotten to mention. when transmuting or tinkering, does the quality of the item you make affect your chance to get a skill up? so if i just finished say 1 progress bar and ended the combine, would that be the same chance to skill up as if i had finished all 4?

2 - depends on the TS, but I usually use what I call "the rule of 10" for tiers 5 and up. I don't get all the pristine bonuses, I just do nothing but writs for each level. "The rule of 10" that I use is that I expect it to take 10 rush order writs to get through a level, so I compute my raw requirements from there. So for a AS in tier 5 for example, each craft generally takes 5 fulginate, 3 leather and 3 root, 6 crafts per writ means 30 fulgintate, 18 leather and 18 root per writ. Then multiple those totals by 10 for a level, or 100 for a tier to yield a total of 3000 fulginate, 1800 leather and 1800 roots to get through tier 5 as an AS.

7 - you can get skillups for transmuting if you end the craft prior to filling all 4 bars, however you will not get the side product them - IE the extra fragments that are returned at the completion of the crafting. At least that's how it was the last time I worked on transmuting. Dunnot about tinkering, haven't tried.

You also get extra TS exp doing the tradeskill writs. I have been levelling up several tradeskill classes doing the rush orders to get faction up to make the AA mirror.

You get the exp for making the item, a little extra coin if you actually harvest instead of buy ingredients, then when you complete/turn in the writ, you get a bit of TS exp for finishing the writ. Of course you get the faction as well.

Also, I dont remember the name of the quest, but there is a quest on the Isle of Mara that is just running around hailing and finding items you can do at any level. I know I did it at a low level.

Reward is a charm item that give 1% success chance to what ever skill you choose.

I still cannot tell if potions stack with vitality. If I run across another potion i'll get the numbers down. Only thing I know for sure is disco xp eats vitality but doesn't benefit from it which is pretty annoying.

No idea with how it works on the bonus weekends because I never know when the bonus weekends are until someone tells me.

hmm I thought that all of the TS rewards from Mara required lvl 50 (55?) TS to start them.

There is a harvesting quest in Thundering Steppes - it awards crafting exp and a house item (plates, cups, stein) depending on where you harvest. TS/Nek, Zek, Everfrost, Feerrot (T3, T4, T5). The quest is giving exp as if it were a lvl 50 TS combine (I think)
