Strange html stuff aside, I'd recommend looking on EQ2 Traders Corner, especially the forums. That said, the sheer quantity of new combines available to you as a sage make levelling by using the bonus exp you get from making a first new pristine condition spell pretty viable for a sage.

I can't help you with the html stuff. I'm not even clued up enough to be able to title my link with a word rather than the direct link

Edit: Or rather, clued up enough to know that since I used the clicky while posting to insert a link it would title my link for me... *cough*

I am sure there will be a lot of different opinions on this but I'll give you my variation of leveling up a scholar.

First off, I make every single recipe that's not rare for first time exp. If you level, keep making the old level recipes and then start on the new ones. You'll find yourself behind in recipes for a few tiers, but it will catch up with you and you'll be happy you leeched that exp when you could!

Second, timed writs are really easy. If at later levels you happen to run out of recipes before a level is up, don't grind on one, just go do a few writs to get you over the hump.

Third- If you're not trying to level fast, only work when you have vitality. The vitality bonus and first time exp for tons of spells will make the sage fly by in actual time played, even if it takes a bit of real time because of waiting for vitality to come back.

Fourth- Sages need roots, wood, and both gem node harvests. Have plenty-- at low levels they don't get used up as fast, but at higher levels they seem to disappear and roots are not cheap on the broker.

This advice will work for any scholar class.

Now that they evened out tradeskill exp, doing writs from 20-30 and 30-40 isn't so bad either. Once you are familiar with the system you should be able to complete rush orders easily and its a nice little boost to your exp.

After I do some of those, I tend to go back and do some first time spells that don't get used during the writs. As a sage, you can pretty much do writs or 1st time bonuses in whatever ratio you like. Most crafters have to depend on writs.

In (or near) your ts instance there are two people standing with feathers over their heads. One is a rush order writ giver, one is a standard writ giver.

They give you "orders" to fill for your city guards, etc. It's like you're (as a sage) outfitting the mages and healers that take care of the city, and you need to make some spell scrolls to deliver to them. When you complete it you gain status with your main tradeskill society and some coin.

Rush orders are timed, in order to get paid you must complete it in the time given. Regular ones are not, you can do a couple items, walk away, come back and finish.

Just like any other society you can gain status for, once you get enough you can get special titles and items that can be purchased only at that society. There are also new recipes that you can only get with status.

You will see the feathers over there heads only after you hit level 20 and picked your tradeskill profession. Otherwise they tell you to bugger off.

I'm pretty sure there is a quest guy that takes you from 1-10 by asking you to try each skill.

Also you automatically level from 9 to 10, and again from 19 to 20 when picking your next level of specialty (IE scholar at 9, and Sage at 19)

There is, you get the recipe volumes for rewards until the last reward which is a tunic with +tradeskill bonuses.

Recently did those on my lvl 11 woodworker n00b.
