On top of the fact that this is such a bullshit change, I'm miffed that they're worried about this instead of game-breaking shit.
Here's my "polite" response:
So ....
If we use an alt's L&L rewards and heritage rewards to make a massive weapon wall display and then move, we cannot re-place those items back on the wall ? Why even allow alts to place things in our homes then if you're going to limit what they can put in it?
Sorry Domino, but I'll be honest, this change bites the big one.
This is a HUGE fundamental change for us serious home decorators who have spent years and many many alts to make our homes like we want them. I have decorated and re-decorated my home and my husband's homes so many times that honestly, I don't even know who's items are who's anymore. On top of which, I've had friends that have left the game that put their L&L items and heritage items in my home to add to the decor. Their accounts are no longer active and I couldn't log them on to put their items somewhere else. Last, not every alt can get to all houses - I have lower level alts that had put items in my arasai's house then betrayed - they can no longer go back to Neriak without getting killed.
Also, all status merchant items are lore - (which I never understood as it was a pain in the butt to have to go to the merchant over and over and over for things like pedestals and counters.) Tradeskill status items are also lore. I don't understand why we should only be allowed to have one of these in our house. We earned the status, we should be allowed to spend it as we wish, with multiple items that we EARNED the right to purchase.
How about instead -- since it's the buying of multiple heritage items, etc. from the Shady Swashbuckler that's the issue, why not just make it so it's coding picks up that your house counts as your "inventory" and doesn't allow you to do so. I just haven't seen the issues you address as "game-breaking" issues. In all seriousness, is it truly affecting gameplay for a homeowner to have 2 "moonstone" pools (the collection reward that is) in their garden? Is it affecting gameplay for a homeowner to have an impressive weapon display then use an alt's rewards to add "oomph" to a kitchen as knives on a wall or a butcherblock display?
And yes, I realize that you said items placed already would not be affected, but honey, I change houses as often as I change underwear!
