Um, talk about wrong choice of words. Last time I checked, a woman could not be a faggot.
And just for shits and giggles, her is here the definition of the word illegal. As you can see, I did use it in context. See number two.
forbidden by law or statute.
contrary to or forbidden by official rules, regulations, etc.: The referee ruled that it was an illegal forward pass.
edit, have no clue why the cut and paste didnt work.

Re: Buying Plats
Decorator - you asked for honest feedback on your activities and its been pretty much fairly covered by the previous posters. However, as an 80 Carpenter myself I find you utterly objectionable and a freakishly bizarre cheat. Yeh it's a grind, yeh it's time consuming - but what the hell else are you doing with your time - you're not playing the game - why not level your tradeskill??? You "decorate" - yeh well so do I and Im proud of every item I make. I decorate the houses of all my alts, guildies and friends and not financed outside the rules of the game such as you have chosen to do. That's not self-righteous - it's working within the framework - "playing" the game ffs - you should try it some time - you might find you like it

Re: Buying Plats
I wonder if you people will ever notice how ridiculous your exaggerated resentment is.
The last time I had trouble with plat farmers was during EOF in Pillars of Flame, and in the Silent Tombs. In ROK? No problem at all. There is now so much money in the game from ROK quest rewards/raiding/vendor trash, I haven't seen a single botter since ROK launch.
And also..... You've missed the signs. Most, if not all upcoming MMOs, will aim to integrate what you call "buying plat". EQ2 has done it too - look at LON. LON is completely driven that way, and it can interact with EQ2. You could buy LON boosters and trade it against EQ2 plat. Or you could trade loot cards for eq2 plat. And you can buy loot cards on ebay. Gone are the times of cozy equality. If you're willing to bring in real money into the game for virtual items, that'll be perfectly ok.
And do you know what? In THEORY, it's awesome. People who buy plat or items create more revenue for SOE. Farmers supply the market with rare items, with crafting rares, with gear and other stuff that would otherwise be extremely expensive. Farmers help the market to flourish. And if farmers had a grain of intellect, they'd be farming rare shinies and blue shinies. Farmers bring money into the game and to SOE, and that little bit of poopy competition they create is negligable. If they farm masters, it's even more FTW, since the number of good masters on the broker is so small. More farmers = more accounts = more revenue for SOE.
So why does it in reality not work so well? Because more revenue for SOE should equal to more content, better content, more updates, more developers, more of everything. Better customer relations, more GMs, more live events/world events, better hardware, better testing of upcoming content, better game balancing. Instead, SOE pulls that money out of the game and does something else with it. Probably feeds it to people who are millionaires anyway. Share holders and cretins like that.
So yea, continue bashing somebody who plays EQ2 in a different way to get different kicks out of it. Imagine, somebody who doesn't want to grind a stupid carpenter to level 80! Who doesn't want to farm (lol) nodes in Enchanted Lands for weeks to get his stupid carbonite shite! Oh the fun you're missing!
To the OP: It's against the EULA to buy plat, yes. You just wait for EQ3. Or check out Second Life or whatever other MMOs are out there. It's really dumb to break the EULA and then complain about their actions.

Re: Buying Plats
I decorate loads of houses, and frequently the cost of them goes over what I have agreed with the homeowner and I neither require them to stoke up the difference or buy plat to make up the shortfall if I choose to put in something a little extra for effect.
Any plat spent in this way comes directly out of my mains pockets, plat that I have made on her by harvesting rares, killing named and selling the drops, doing all the things that players can legitimately do within the terms of the EULA.
To buy plat to fund home decorating belittles the hard work done by so many of us decorators. Not only are you lacking in common sense, indicated by your actions but also in common decency, believing that you might find a sypathetic audience here on flames and in the tradeskill forum of all places where crafters discuss real issues, topics of mutual benefit and interest and share ideas and information.
Please move this topic to RAR asap since the OP has obviously outed themselves as being a tard of biblical proportions.

Apparently you missed the memo. They changed blue shinies awhile back. You can't have multiples of a blue shiny anywhere (broker, bank, vault, and inventory all count).

Re: Buying Plats
For your Honest feedback:
What differance does it make what you use the bought plat for? I still run into interference with people harvest botting / farming named to this day.
They will always do it.
You really shouldnt come to a place that has an entire section dedicated to flaming bot farmers (which is the section you very first posted this in) and expect people to welcome you with open arms of acceptance.
Stop buying plat, you know now its against the rule set - find another niche to make money - Play the broker, learn the economy and take advantage of it.
Stop whinning about SOE taking your money and asking other people to out themselves for buying plat for the lamest reason in game.
I have a carpenter for the sole purpose of my house fetish, its easy to do - i dont have to harvest my own stuff because he makes enough money for me to be able to buy everything i need... Why cant you just learn to play the game?
i really doubt you've spent 100's of RL dollars for a couple of house items, tbh... if you really have spent hundreds for house items, well, your dumb.

Re: Buying Plats
Since you posted in the Farmers Almanac and here I will post here as well. YOUR selfish wants to appease your fellow gamers and your enjoyment cost my friends enjoyment of his game. Because of you and all the others that buy plat the farmers and plat sellers devised a hack to get peoples account info to sell all their shit and then sppeed hack til they got caught, which could have gotten my friends account banned all because of YOUR selfish wants. May you DIAF.
