Is there a limit to how far one can level your tradeskill level without raising adventure level?

For instance, can I be Sage level 50, but Wizard level 15?

yes you can level all the way to 80 as a tradeskiller and still be a lvl 1 adventurer if that is your wish...the two don't depend on each other at all....
