Purchase the blueprints from a tinker advisor.

Collect a LOT of loams and gems and metals off both the ore and stone nodes for the required level recipies.... and grind the makeable items at even and blue con until you get sufficient level-up advances to scribe the next blueprint.

Keep going like this until you max your level !

Simple.....

I"ve got 3 level 400 tinkers (COTT FTW!) and I never noticed any additional skill-ups from blue or even con blueprints. I found the blueprint with the fewest and most inexpensive components and made those over and over until I reached 400. It was easier and less expensive to stockpile just a few different kinds of cheap items. I made snake baskets until I could make useful items like mana stones, but still used the baskets to finish leveling.

Remember that tinkering is not a tradeskill even though you use the tradeskill interface. It's like harvesting or swimming; you get skill-ups randomly. You don't have to progress an item beyond the first line in your production tradeskill window. As soon as you pass the first line and it shows that you have created the item, stop the production process and move on to the next unit. You don't gain anything by increasing quality on the item, since there are no quality differentiations on tinkered items.

Good luck!

Higher con makes a difference, but I haven't found a difference in making it pristine or crude.

Taking the progression beyond the first completion returns one component for each level completed. This does not add to your chance of a skill up, but does reduce the number of that component used up each time..... so some less cash or time harvesting.

I have found that I get more skill up dings on white and blue con recipies... green ones definitely are less inclined to ding.

.... just my impression perhaps.....

White and Blue con recipes give a higer %chance of getting a skillup from the combine. Gray con recipes have the lowest chance to skillup.

Easiest and fastest way to level a Tinkerer is to STOP when you have completely the first line. Since skillups are random and there's no experience, it's easier and faster doing it this way.
