I will usually cap someone else, then cast PotM imediately afterwards. That way I can cap myself just before PotM finishes. I still get (most of) the benefit of JCap on my PotM timer, and someone gets ALOT more out of PotM because they have JCap for most of the duration. Seems to work for me, YMMV.

As for Lores... i say fuck PvE. Where does that leave us? Neither one of us wants their spell changed for the other one, because we both want it to benefit us the most. I would be happy if they only change it for PvE. Like you said, the mechanics are all there for them to do it. I do fight PvE content as well as the PvP, alot of people seem to forget this. I'm all for changing Lore's for PvE. But the first person who reaches for the PvP change is going to pull back a bloody stump.

Don't fuck with my PvP spells!

P.S just as an idea, would you PvE raiders be happy to leave Lore's as is, if they made power-drains/taps have the same effect as using power? Say you have Lore's on a mob, and you hit them with Sandra's. You drain 400 points of power, and with Lore's on, you drain a further 148 health and 148 power. THAT would make the spell more worthwhile. What do you think?

I could see Lore's useful IF they changed it so that draining the mobs power = power use, but only IF everyones powerdrains would add damage to MY Lore's i.e a coercer stick on power drains or the warlock powerdrain etc.

Effectively making every single powerdrain anyone have make Lore's trigger, may it be spells OR items with powerdrains.

However I foresee this to be hugely overpowered since this change would mean that everyone that has spells that damage on power use would get quite a significant boost. It would be us, Defilers and Coercers at least, I don't know any other classes but there is more than likely that more people have abilities like that.

I can't think of any others off the top of my head, and i didn't know about the defilers...

But this would help us all. Would give us a reason to actually USE lores, a reason to use those powerdrains we have etc. Coercers have been asking for this for a long time. I do think the % would need to be dropped a bit though... even just having it at 10% would be a major boost to our DPS. Also I think the other scouts would complain. Assasins get a 500 mit debuff on their -def debuff, rangers get nothing... we'd get a major DPS increase.
