I'll post what kind of rotation I use, might not work for people, might be a completely newb rotation, but its something to build your own off of and come back with maybe something better.

I always start the fight off by targetting on my melee attack (use ranged if you actually have a bow/thrown weapon, I have the TSO Sig drums). I'll cast PotM on inc and then Jcap myself (for reuse speed) then go into this rotation:

Chaos Anthem > Evasive Maneuvers > Rhythm Blade > Zander's Choral Rebuff > Heroic Chain 1 > Bump > Night Strike > Dancing Blade > Thunderous Overture > Perfect Shrill > Tap Essence > Heroic Chain 2

Heroic Chain 1 = Lucky Break > Depressing Chant > Ceremonial Blade

Heroic Chain 2 = Lucky Break > Vexing Verse > Sandra's

Just make those into macros and use them to cast the whole order.

As well cast your debuffs as you see fit. Depending on the fight I'll weave em into my rotation at the beginning when PotM is up. This rotation works fairly well for me so I hope it does for you guys too.

np at all. If people are generally pleased with it I'll make a new post and see if we can't get a sticky for it for everyone to use.

id never cast tap essence over painful, essence was always last on my rotation...i also always casted shrill before overture but it doubt its that much of a difference since i casted them back to back like you do.

i was always to lazy to do HO's so mines looked a lil different than yours

All I know is I got my troub to 80 with a myth and I still cant parse. I think Ive been playing a dirge way to long. This was some good reads though! Gave me some helpful pointers.

Funny you should say that. When I switch from my Troub to my Dirge I cannot find a smooth cast order although its getting better. You'd think the two classes would play a bit closer.

It don't matter though, the Dirge is the fun toon whereas Troub is the raider.

Ok this is my casting order and on training dummy with jcap and PotM I can regularly hit 4200 with out PotM its down to 3600 and then just casting its 3200 to 3400.

In raids I regularly parse 4 - 5 k have not looked at zone wide in a while so not sure but I did hit 6800 the other night in SoH. But I am always in a group with a Enchanter and have TC on me most of the time.

So here it is:
Chaos Anthem (this gets your autoattack moving)
Rhythm Blade
Dancing Blade
Depressing Chant
Sandra's
Perfect Shrill
Tap Essence
Thunderous Over
Evasive Maneuvers (if you have it)
Bump and Night Strike
Ceremonial Blade

Zander's and Lucky Break- when nothing else up.

Also, from my parsing and others may differ I hit Thunderous Over everytime it refreshes even if other things are up. I seem to parse better that way.

theres is my character so you can see what gear I have and such. Hope this helps some.

The more and more you try to parse the training dummy, or put up high numbers in raids, you'll find that it makes almost no difference what order you cast in. But here's what mine generally leans towards, for reference.

(I parse anywhere from 6-8k on the dummy reliably solo, and usually pull around 5-7k zone-wide for trash on raids. Most nameds obviously have an aspect of instability, DPS wise.)

---As the mob is running in, assuming you know there's no social aggro nearby---

1. Jcap whoever
2. Perfection
3. Spell Rebuff (Toggle on auto attack, if I'm in a giving a shit mood)

---Assuming the mob is at the tank and positioned by this point---

1. Rhythm blade
2. Dancing Blade
3. Depressing chant
4. Chaos Anthem
5. Bump
6. Night Strike (I use 12-tone, thus the early use of Strike)
7. Perfect Shrill
8. Thunderous Overture
9. Tap Essence
10. Bellow (instant cast perfection trigger, /shrug, preference)

---Sometimes before perfection runs out---

1. Jcap yourself

After this point, I just do what feels right, depending on how my auto attacks are rotating, and such. Sometimes I follow up with Painful Lamentations, sometimes I throw Ceremonial Blade - it all depends, I guess.

My rotation is all based around how the mob runs in to the raid, and how quickly it's positioned - it's almost never the same, the above is just a very basic guideline of my preference.

Also, for any troubs here looking for DPS advice, this is the best thing I can give you - it'll probably up your numbers more than any rotation I can suggest:

Get the Strength imbued mastercraft ring.

I can't imagine you're going to be in a group where your DPS mod is anywhere near the cap, in a raid. (I'm sure there's exceptions, in some of you guys' raids, but you get the point.)
