Re: Spell order for maximum DPS
The more and more you try to parse the training dummy, or put up high numbers in raids, you'll find that it makes almost no difference what order you cast in. But here's what mine generally leans towards, for reference.
(I parse anywhere from 6-8k on the dummy reliably solo, and usually pull around 5-7k zone-wide for trash on raids. Most nameds obviously have an aspect of instability, DPS wise.)
---As the mob is running in, assuming you know there's no social aggro nearby---
1. Jcap whoever
2. Perfection
3. Spell Rebuff (Toggle on auto attack, if I'm in a giving a shit mood)
---Assuming the mob is at the tank and positioned by this point---
1. Rhythm blade
2. Dancing Blade
3. Depressing chant
4. Chaos Anthem
5. Bump
6. Night Strike (I use 12-tone, thus the early use of Strike)
7. Perfect Shrill
8. Thunderous Overture
9. Tap Essence
10. Bellow (instant cast perfection trigger, /shrug, preference)
---Sometimes before perfection runs out---
1. Jcap yourself
After this point, I just do what feels right, depending on how my auto attacks are rotating, and such. Sometimes I follow up with Painful Lamentations, sometimes I throw Ceremonial Blade - it all depends, I guess.
My rotation is all based around how the mob runs in to the raid, and how quickly it's positioned - it's almost never the same, the above is just a very basic guideline of my preference.
Also, for any troubs here looking for DPS advice, this is the best thing I can give you - it'll probably up your numbers more than any rotation I can suggest:
Get the Strength imbued mastercraft ring.
I can't imagine you're going to be in a group where your DPS mod is anywhere near the cap, in a raid. (I'm sure there's exceptions, in some of you guys' raids, but you get the point.)
