Default Change to PoTM on test.

While playing on test last night i noticed that they removed the root from PoTM. I was kinda shocked to be able to run around while it was up. I didnt notice anything in the update notes about it and i didnt see anyone posting anything about it here.

While i hope they keep this change in , i would to see the daze removed as well. That would finally put it on par with CoB.

If this stays in, imo, daze removal is to be coming soon hopefully...

Remove the daze also. It never made sense for it to be there in the first place.

QFT

Do I want them to, YES of course, but I don't think they ever will.

It has been said so many times for so long and nothing have changed that I just firmly believe that they never will go through with it and remove the daze.

If you look at it logically, the Troubador class makes no sense.

The devs change Troubador auto-attack damage to match Rogues, but the class cannot auto-attack when providing maximum support for their group. The majority of Troub damage is from spells, except Troubs can't wear beneficial mage only cloth items to enhance them. INT is the stat that boosts spell damage, yet Troubs can't even augment themselves and run their self buff for an additional 217, which would help significantly because they're no where near the high end of the cap.

From personal experience as a Dirge, my worst nightmare is for SOE to force me to gimp myself in order to provide proper utility for my group, yet that is exactly what they force every raiding Troub to do.

It couldn't have been said better and I totally agree with you, for some reason though I still turn up at raids every night. This boggles me a bit.

This (if it goes through, especially if they remove daze as well) would be like an early christmas present. This certainly wont fix the other problems this class has (scaling being the major one) but damn me if it wouldn't help ALOT.

I think it will help you PvP'ers, but I don't see it changing much on the PvE front.

Also, to Slix, I just meant that this is a step in the right direction. I think before we thought on the SoE forums that they would never take off the root... (who can remember that long ago, I know I don't visit that shitty place anymore)

Now we get the root removed, maybe in a few more updates Daze will go also. I mean hell they also said, read my lips no epics, and look we have them here in about 10 weeks.

Don't see it helping on the PvE front? Care to open your eyes a bit then? How does removing the daze NOT benefit the PvE game? Take a look at how much DPS you get out of your auto-attack... now multiply it by 1.33, not being dazed for 25% of all your fights can only be a good thing. The increase would be huge.

Yes, this change would make PvPing as a troubador ALOT easier, almost to the point of making us overpowered. But so what? We've been gimped (compared to other scouts) since day 1. It's me time bitch!

EDIT: Bah, reading FTW! Just noticed that you weren't talking about removing daze as well, but just the root. I agree with everything you posted. 100%.
