Default Third KoS AA line

So... how are the rest of you planning to spend your 20 points in the KoS tree? The obvious choice seems to be the AGI line, with poison proc etc. But... Having become a bit attached to the skill buff in the INT line, I beta buffed a toon and tried the rest of the line out.

One thing that frustrates me most as a troub, is having no off stance. This means low weapon skill and therefore a mediocre or intermittent hit %. Sometimes the difference between parsing 1k or 2k is just pure luck on hit/miss crit/non crit single att/double att. Especially when you have 2 4.0s weapons.

So, how much difference would it make if we could have say, 500 piercing in combat (at lvl 80). This is easily achievable with the uber swindlers luck you get with the INT line. At 80, with utterly shit gear my piercing was about 480. Although I can't tell you what the impact of that is as I was only beating up things which I could solo in melee... Which means weak feeble things! lol.

This line also boosts haste, which is a bit.. bleh. But I was wondering if this setup would make a big enough difference to hit % to take it over the AGI line?

I'm not even lvl 70 yet, but after raiding with a brigand for over 2 years I have a strong feeling 4-8-4-7-2 INT is gonna blow AGI line out of the water. The posion proc is really not big, and its a DoT at that.

I reckon at lvl 80 Rhythm Blade + whatever INT endline ability adds to Swindler's will put us at equal melee skills as rogues/preds. Which would mean a terrific boost to autoattack, not to mention anything that procs off it. Any guild thats low on troubs might even wanna put the troub with 4 mages, giving the troub Illus Arm / Agitate. Then it would REALLY get intresting.

It's a 50% boost to all HO's. I can't remember exactly, but I think at 80 it was 45 to combat skills. Rythm blade on the setup I was using was adding 35, so it's +80, which yes, is basically an off stance.

The thing that got me thinking that melee will be king is the sheer amount of melee crit and double attack items I've seen. There seems to be very few proc items, especially spell procs, so it might be best to spec for melee dps.

Last I tried the final ability in int line was broken (didn't do anything to ringing blow nor swindlers), was a few months ago though

Int line is probably what my troub alt will have aswell, at least the self skillbuff and haste.

You guys make good points for INT line.

The only reason why I think AGI will be far superior to INT is because of Bump. You can also get Rhythm blade and still max out poisons:

Ex:

WIS: 4 4 6 8 2
STA: 4 4 4 8
INT: 4 1
AGI: 4 4 4 8

This way, you still get Rhythm blade which helps for skills, you get Bump which is flat out uber for a troubador which allows you to utilize Clara's (I think it's Night Strike or something now - our stealth CA). The poison is also nice because it proc's off ranged which is a big benefit on tougher fights which require a lot of jousting.

The way things are looking with haste, and from what I've heard about being able to get stackable haste items in RoK means that the improvement to our haste song from INT will be almost worthless. And improvement to Dove Song is useless because the song as it is doesn't do a whole lot.

From my testing on beta, I got more dps out of the build Dant posted than going for the end ability in the INT line. With the poison maxed out, it gives ~24% chance to proc and the proc is also effected by proc modifiers like propagations and blessings.

The final ability in the INT was working with swindler's and ringing blow on beta...

For PvE/Raiding:
AGI 4-4-4-8
STA 4-4-4-8
WIS 4-4-8-6-2
INT 4-1

For PvP:
AGI 4-4-8
STA 4-4-4-8
WIS 4-4-8-8-2

Poison breaks mez WAY too often for me to use it during PvP. Remind me to PM Aerlik and get him to make that poison proc toggleable.

4-4-4-8 INT? Why?

What % does the new haste go from and to (master I) with the extra 56% tagged onto it? I really can't see those 8 points being useful... certainly more useful than boosting Dove Song, but not by much.

Sometimes I raiding in melee group and 8AA points for Allegretto.

Without AA Allegretto increase Attack speed by 30, and with 8AA - by 47 (if I'm right).

Also Allegretto stackable with other haste items and on beta server I has 79% in haste mod(slefbuffed). (Allegretto+Cloak(dont remember the name atm, but will see screenshots later)+some items with haste).
But its only on testing and maybe will be change later.
I will test AGI line also.
