Sorry but anybody saying to run Dove Song should just quit this game now and learn game mechanics. If you're a troubadour and there are no arcane/elemental AEs this should be your buff setup, no matter what:

STR/STA
Spell Proc
Haste
In-Combat Power Regen
De-Aggro

If you are running any other group buffs(except in certain fights where there is an arcane or elemental AE or for certain other fights), then you are a moron.

You would run haste over Dove Song in say a mage group? Why?

If you don't lose your temper when you hear the resist sound after every AE spell, then you don't deserve Dove Song anyway.

Because +Casting Skills is COMPLETELY USELESS. I'm sorry you don't understand that. But yah, it's pretty dumb considering spells hit 95% of the time without any +casting skills buffs.

Yes....

After debuffs are applied, mages have a 95%+ hit rate on spells. It is a waste of a concentration slot to run Dove Song or it's upgrade to give them maybe 1% more hit rate...

Call down down, I asked why. Not, you fucking suck explain yourself.

That makes sense and it is something I will look into. I would much rather run haste than that buff anyway.

The mastercrafted set would be better than your EoF 5 set bonus if you don't mind taking a hit in the HP department.

Also, you can buy a bunch of gear that is better than your EoF set:

Reet collection helm (broker)
Fish Embroided Gloves (solo quest)
Fulgent Armguards of Sagacity (broker)
Trooper Scale Boots (broker)

Also theres some pretty good spell crit/spell damage forearms you can get questing or probably off the broker, but I don't remember it much because I have the cmay ones.

And there you go. It's kinda sad how easily obtainable Troubador endgame gear is.

I think those forearms (cloth 2% spell crits, and I think +60 to spell damage) come from the end of one of the Bellywhomper quest lines in Fens. I'm using them ATM and haven't seen anything much better in terms of DPS yet.
