Default Guidance for raid Trouby

I want to be able to help my guild to the best of my ability in raids, while I still end up soloing most of the time when not raiding.
Is there somewhere that lists spell progression I should use in raids, what buffs to keep active, and any responsibilities that I have. I appreciate any helpful input.
I am currently level 72 and am finding the soloing as a Trouby Sloooow Gooooing, lol.

If you are the only Troubador on the raid:
Debuffs to maintain at all (most) times: Spell Rebuff, Dispirited Processional.
If you don't have a dirge: Add Devigorating Discante to the list.

Set up 5 (yes five) Jester's cap macros, first one is for yourself, other 4 are for the people you will have in your 'rotation'. The rotation is used when JCap is up and no one has asked for it, usual suspects include assasins, brigands, wiz-locks. Also go to EQ2Interface (someone confirm?) and get the mod for your raid window. On tough pulls, think about Capping a healer or the MT.

After that (assuming I haven't missed anything stupidly obvious) you DPS.

As for buffs... that will depend on who is in your group, and also how good your raid is. My personal setup is usually: Aria of Magic, Allegretto, March of Blades, Fortifying Song, Alin's Serene Serenade. Then I have my last slot as a swap between Song of Magic, Power Ballad (usually only for names) and any resist songs required for the encounter.

Soloing: Get the Incarnadine Melodic gear if you're still wearing T7 gear. A whole set of it. Other notable items to get: INT/STR/AGI mastercrafted rings. Anything with spell crit or +spell damage on it... I find I can hit red-cons quite reliably with my spells, but CAs and weapons are about 60% hit rate on Orange cons and pretty much miss every swing for Red cons. So focus on your spells. I'm a fan of the STA line (4-4-8-8), but it wont help you much for raiding and unless your guild raids T7 still, you'll have a hard time finding a good roundshield. Also I play on PvP, so my spec reflects that.

Have fun! (Thats the main idea right?)

I'll always remember the 'how to play a troubadour' advice in your bio Slamdar - I still live by those simple rules!

When I raid I run with this:

March of Blades
Power Ballad
Aria of Acclamation (If you have Coat of Facination) else Aria of Magic
Fortifying Song
Dove Song (Master 1 with Full Facination Set) or Song of Magic
Alin's Serene

Sometimes I will swap out Fortifying Song for Rousing Opus/Allegretto depending on if another scout is in the group and we are missing an Illusionist.

AAs I chose:

DKtM, Allegro, Harmonization and Resonance

AA Spec that I have

Str 44681
Wis 44681
Int 4485

JC5
PoTM 5
Harmonization
Resonance

Seems to work well for me.

I was thinking of getting a Mastercrafted set for soloing, but so far I have not seen any upgrades that have made me want to give up my EoF set for raiding, well I should say I have not had anything drop for me yet.

When I start casting I always PoTM then JC myself then start lobbing debuffs at the mob. I usually cast Depressing Chant, Vexing Verses, Spell Rebuff and Dispirted Processional.

Also remember that when PoTM is active and your spamming spells that you can also cast Mighty Bellow to get PoTM to trigger. Its usually the first spell I cast after PoTM so it will refresh faster.

Between casting, rotate with JC. I usually hit the Wizard or Warlock first then either the illusionist or Necro if he is about to lifeburn.

Profit Reborn is a great UI to use when raiding. Make sure to modify the script to add a /tell to the player that you JC, if your using the quickraid buttons. If you create your own in game macros, which I do as well, make sure to add a /tell to the macro.

Keep an eye on the fight. If you see the tank spiking then hold your JC casting for the healers, which I usually cast on the Templar. If the mob is bouncing same thing applies. It can make a difference sometimes.

Counter Song seems to hold some promise, but I have not used it much yet or I would make some suggestions for using it.

Hope this helps.

One of them quit, and you're probably right... I think I'm going to miss Chilling Inquisition a lot
