I'm a weirdo, I dont like raidwide PoTM at all. Why? Well firstly, it does nothing for us in regular grouping, or soloing. I'm willing to look past that though.

The real reason I dont like it is because it removes a reason for why people would be happy to be in group with me. Thats really the main thing I get out of playing a bard, knowing that with PoTM + Aria + Alins + other groupbuffs people are happy to have me in their group. Now one of those reasons has been removed.

Ask yourself, would you have been happy if the troub Epic made ALL our buffs raidwide? That would be good for the raid, but not good for the troub(s).

PotM is awesome for our personal dps, being a big 100%-chance proc off spells, we have severel fast cast spells.
With daze and root gone, and possibly more than one Troub in the raid, ...

You should throw up a parser, and try soloing an even con mob with and without PotM.
Then, if you are raiding, do the same there (ofc don't solo an x4 :P, but use a parser I mean). It can easily be 6-8% of your zonewide dps if used regularly.

oh damn ... your spell proc gains additional 10% from the weapon (your group will love u even more) this buff is ALWAYS up and potm not ... so your mages will want you in their group EVERYTIME.

And woohooo a raid obtained weapon, meant for raiding people has a reaid beneficial effect on it - surprise! Tell for which OH SO HARD solo or group content you would need extra ...eh .. whatever! you can clear evey ini naked ...

and hell, u think u would be love less when everything was raidwide? ...omg ^^ The only thing is that then u would not need another raid troub, but then again, most raids are happy to have one

Yes, I know the enhancement to Aria will add a nice chunk of DPS to my group. So we gained an ability that makes people want us in their group, and lost one - status quo. Just saying I would have been happier with TWO new reasons for people to want me in their group, instead of gaining one and losing another.

And yes, a raid-obtained item with an effect that only comes to use in raids makes sense. However, that doesnt change the fact that many classes (most classes in fact) get effects which ALL help them both in raiding as well as grouping and soloing. We dont, and I would have preferred if we got the same benefit.

And yes, I very much mean making all troub buffs raidwide would be bad for the class (with the exception of a guild that has one troub and one troub only). No class in the game would be more useless for a raid if there already is one present. I dont see how anyone could be happy with that?
